I bought 850 gems today in the Gem Store. But for some reason it bought me 1600 gems instead of 850. First of all, does anyone know why? And is it possible for me to get my gold back? I’ve sent a support ticket, but people in map chat are telling me that it’s not going to help. Is this true?

I was under the impression that you could only buy gems in lots of 800. Or do you mean you bought them with in-game gold?

Is it possible that you typoed the amount of gold you were willing to spend?

I’ve done that a few times when I was just checking on the price of gems. I’d think I was putting in 1g and, instead, I put in 2 or 10g.

Literally no one has gotten gold or items returned to them by support – not a single person. The best thing you can do is make a bug report in game since the Customer Service people have no ties to the devs.

I did not do a typo when I put the amount of gold in. I was changing the gold by single coppers to make sure I got the best deal I could get.

I read a post from Anet that state that they cannot spawn gold/gems/or items in game. This basically means that if there is an error, then its permanent. No fixes for anyone. This is the same reason that the bots are still there, the hacks are still there, etc. They basically created a living, breathing MMO that they have no real control over other than patching or a full roll back. Couple that with no live GM’s and Im betting that we see the D3 effect ( 3 months in and on tenth of the people that paid for it were still playing). We will see and only time will tell.

That being said, I do enjoy the game as of now. How long will it last, probably not that long. Too bad the gameplay killed WOW for me. No way I can go back to that.

Well I’m quite dissapointed then. But I don’t think this game will be like Diablo 3, since this game is actually fun.
