Seemed like the price would go up after the barracuda stopped being a big source for armored scales.

I see them going up and down a lot still. Were there this many of them out there that have to be used up first?

Why? They’re about the same price they were before the supply issue was fixed. Less should be entering the game now than they were before. Some people flipping scales on the market didn’t change that.

There is still a large supply in the marketplace, especially if you count the numbers held by speculators. I’m predicting it will take a while for that oversupply to be worked through.

Bots are still farming them. But if we assume that bots will be taken out, then AC is a good investment.

People are still dumping their investments so I don’t expect a huge increase in price until a few weeks.

On a somewhat related note, I saw some suspicious activity in regards to powerful bloods.

Price was steadly in the low 13s. But twice I saw massive undercut of 1S. Someone was intentionally trying to lower the price.

Lucky enough, I got enough money to buy them all up before any long-term damage was done.

The thing to note is that the rate of production of the bots has decreased sharply due to the nerf; there is a large oversupply, yes, and it will be slowly worked through, and most of the ongoing price & supply fluctuations are the result of speculators throwing enormous quantities of them around. Quantities such as 3000-5000 scales at a time, as evidenced by recent activity within the last few hours. Anyone without many hundreds of gold who wants to make a quick profit at this time is basically at the mercy of those speculators.
