Nah I doubt there will be much significant wintersday recipe that makes use of existing ingredients. They will introduce a new item just like they did for Halloween, the candy corn. And I can bet you 100 gw1 gold the new important item will be called candy canes..

I don’t know, they didn’t add Candy Crab or something in November, and I’m not sure what Candy-themed item we’ll potentially see in January. I doubt we’ll see Candy-prefixed goods again until February with Candy Hearts.

Seriously though, there should be something in the TOS to prevent this kind of Market manipulation, not for seasoned players but for new players.

I have observed this trend and its almost no less than scamming to try luring players into buying things from the TP. This is Not Wall Street and i wish something would be done to prevent this from happening, especially on the forums where players come to find information.

Just my honest opinion here

I know what you mean, but it’s hard to call people out on this sort of behavior without knowing what their true motivations are.

However, my rule of thumb is to never invest in anything that’s being discussed openly in the forums. My reasoning being that by the time I’ve heard about it, so have a large number of others, so whatever opportunity existed has likely already passed even if it is genuine.

Oh and i also add to that bet that youll have to chop down the candy canes like trees…(ihope so)

I wouldnt even be suprised if it turned out that way. fact is there’s 7559406 Candy Corn available (source) if i recall correct, about half of that goes for 5 copper or less so i’m pretty safe to say manipulating this for a massive profit is nearly impossible, since there’s to much around and only anet knows how much Candy Corn isnt even listed.

Actually by posting this in a Gw2 forum and even the bet was regarding a gw2 holiday item, it would make sense that it was gw2 gold.

The devils in the details. You posted this on a GW2 forum with a bet of 100 gold. You claim that by not setting out certain terms that you maintain the right to return the “gold” in an alternate form of currency. The other person in this bet is a Gw2 player who may or may not have access to gw1, dioblo 3, or even 100 gold real life. Thus the only currency that can have the bet paid out on would be Gw2 gold.

Not once did you state that you were offering 100 GW1 gold. Thus posting on GW2 forums implies that you mean the respective games currency.
And whilst there is in fact no contract involved your offer is still in fact in writing. So dont pull the legal stunt there.

Now this is just like a casino, you place a bet and unless specified otherwise it it to be paid in the local currency. This it the GW2 forum I expect GW2 gold, but considering how poor you are in GW1 I doubt you managed to make even half of what you owe me in GW2. I’m still waiting, but if you want to do GW1 gold, the conversion would make it 1k platinum, unless you want to hold ecto or obi shards as the currency backing, in which case that price is going up a ton. Diablo 3 is trash I gave my account to my dog, he won’t even play it.

Thats not. I just meant to make a point that there will be new items that anet will create instead of using existing items. And to add credibility to my statement I included that bet. But also I knoe childish trolls on the internet might take up that bet so I didnt make it clear what kind of gold I meant. It was not a bet but just a figure of speech. You’re going to come back at me now with a much higher number, probably without proof or a screenshot proving that you are just a sore loser who doesn’t pay debts that are easily within your means to pay. Now I’ll admit that to pay you the 100g GW2 I’d have to liquidate a portion of my non-monetary assets (I rarely hold more than about 15g in cash) and probably have irked a few people in doing so. To protect my investments I will not provide proof of my bank and collection tab stockpile. So what is it; you a poser or the real thing?

Disclaimer: this is not an attempt at manipulating any markets, but if y’all do decide to dump stock on some high ticket items I’ll gladly buy it up and sell it back to you when it recovers. BTW, dumping my excess t4 mats next week; I’m keeping the dust though
