Many of you probably already know about the Moldy Bags and how awesome they are but for those of you that don’t this post will open your eyes to an endless supply of crafting materials for extremely cheap prices (thank the bots -_-)

What you want to do is buy Miner’s Sacks and Moldy Bags, open them up and profit! I created a youtube video to better demonstrate how this is all done even though it is really rather quite simple.

In the video I go over what each type of bag drops and I also show you how cheap most of the prices are currently. If you have any further questions feel free to post here or on the video, I’ll answer you!

If you need the fine crafting materials from mines (stuff like Carnelian Lump, Ruby Crystal, Ruby Shard etc etc) buy the Hidden <name> line of items. Like Hidden Trove, Hidden Cache, Hidden Stash etc etc.

Hope that helps some of you guys!

Either you don’t like making money (by revealing this to everyone) or this doesn’t make you money at all.

This is a rather known of trying and make money, but it’s a gamble. It really depends on what bags you buy and at what price.

Most times at today price you will lose money.

its not a scam as much as you can only ever make a noticeable profit if you play the bag market just right. For instance, moldy bags are actually very bad about handing out 2 butter and 5c; icy bags are equally bad about filling you up on 2 dozen worthless veggies.

ps even the most profitable bag (skritt sack) is only 3-4c of profit per bag. so the prices generally have to stay at the price that that bags buyer has set for his 1000+ order

EDIT: Sentences make since when all the worlds actually get typed.

I think everyone is very confused on where I was trying to go with this tip. It isn’t a tip on how to make money or take over the world one fine crafting material at a time but a tip on how you can build up the crafting materials in your collectibles tab.

I’ve never once used this trick for money so I don’t know how it will fair in that area but i have used it constantly to build up the fine crafting materials in my collectibles tab for raising professions or whatever it is I need them for.

I apologize for the confusion

That was definitely my intention when making this post. I buy 15 – 25 bags all the time to stock my collectibles tab so that way when I level up professions I have tons of mats at my disposal. I’ve leveled Huntsman on an alt after buying about 200 of each type of bag and had some mats even left over.

So while buying the bags might not have turned a profit immediately they definitely saved me an investment in the long run.

I did something like this last night (found a bag with little to no butter or chocolate) to get mats for crafting. I figured I needed them anyway and why not test the theory.

The buy/sell spread on bags is really low now that people have been in this market for a while. Some bags are even getting close to vendor prices.

For some reason I can’t quote on the forums atm, they seem to be always buggy for me.

Anyway the above poster has the right idea. If you want just Fine crafting materials stick with the Moldy Bags, the Miner’s Bags are the only ones that give stuff like butter/chocolate.

I honestly can’t see turning a reliable profit from these bags, it would be gambling with the odds in your favor but it’s still gambling.

However if you buy the bags and deposit all of the collectibles you’re going to fill up your collectible tabs extremely quickly.

Excellent tip. Custom ordered most of what I brought and now don’t need to go out in the field and farm for the missing materials in need in the future.

I’ve noticed the bag prices myself when I collected about 80 of them from 100% a map but decided to use them for myself instead because I wanted the mats. Glad to know I can get the higher tiers from the better bags.

The problem is, in most cases you can get the collectibles you need cheaper by just buying them directly from the TP.

Even when leveling it’s more cost-effective to just buy the lowest going fine crafting mat in bulk directly from the TP.
