Halloween Skins - Price Predictions?
I expect they will drop to about 5 silver in a month. Buy in bulk then.
1 ticket price my guess is Nov 12? Isn’t that when Halloween goes away?
I imagine prices will go up once Halloween is over, around Nov 12th. ANet will probably give us a one week’s notice before it happens, so don’t worry too much about it.
I’ve managed to grab the shield and GS so far just running the speed personal story a bit. I plan on keeping them in the bank for a good 6+ months.
As to your question, I think GS will be the top seller. It looks decent and has a bat aura (people love weapon effects). Of course GS has the most for sale atm, so it may take longer.
Going to guess the 12th as others have said as to when they’ll stop being 1 ticket. I say smoke em if ya got em.

Zodiac skins dropped after the first 2 weeks, so it wouldn’t surprise me if that happened here. Of course they will rise to 150+g in a month or 2 after the 11th.

The other important point to consider is whether or not the particular weapon skin is considered “cool” by the player base at large. Case in point:
- Ghastly Grinning Shield skin: 820g on TP
- Grinning Gourd Rifle skin: 27g on TP
Zodiac weapons were by and large deemed unattractive by the wider player base, so while prices may rise in the future, don’t expect them to become cash cows the way other weapon skins have.
EDIT: One other factor to consider was that Zodiac skins came out after the new “1 ticket → 5+ ticket” system was put in place, so it’s also possible that most players who did want the Zodiac skins simply scrambled to get them while they were cheap, and now demand is almost non-existent.
Zodiac skins have already doubled to quadrupled in price for the most part, so it’s a safe bet that the even more pleasing halloween skins will too. The only problem is that the new ticket price still caps them at 300 or so g (look at fused weapons that cost 7 tickets). My only question mark is if halloween skins will fall before their rise on the 11th, like zodiac skins. Anecdotally I opened a single chest from a dropped key today and got a bl ticket, so they may not be as rare as I initially thought. Or I got lucky.
My best guess though is that prices will fall briefly after halloween. As you can see on gw2spidy supply average is still going continuously up, and demand will likely fall after halloween and people get busy with new content. They may actually take longer to rise than zodiac skins, since supply for those was split amongst a ton of different weapon types, while for these supply is much larger and concentrated for each weapon skin.

Those skins only increased so much in price because it appears they may have been discontinued. I had the rifle and sold it maybe 2 or 3 months ago and it was only at about 6 gold. You are still able to get the other skins if you really want them through a vendor so I doubt they will ever reach prices higher than what people think they could get the tickets for.

Yeah, the price for BLTC weapon skin will likely not vary outside of the 100 – 200g range, simply because of the mitigating factor of the ticket #‘s required to purchase them. Nobody’s going to sell an unwanted skin below a certain price if they could use their tickets to buy a preferred weapon skin for more.
The prince staff probably will not rise as it looks just like

The shield can only be used by two (?) professions and doesn’t suit engineers.
The Gs is extremely fugly (a giant bat? that looks just atrocious).
My monesy is on the scimitar; it is the only weapon with that kind of physics
and legendaries already proved the fact that players like silly things.
I don’t think there is any kind of speculators market here.
Anet has brought back RNG reused cash shop skins before (like the totem axe), & has brought back old cash shop skins for purchase with tickets (including, bizarrely the wintersday weapons). It would be foolish to assume that these wolnt be brought back.
The only exception to this are last years Halloween equips.
