Mina Sekurai – Asura Necromancer (Blackgate)
Has anyone gotten the perm-items from the chests?

I can’t imagine these perma items have even a 1% rate from the Black Lion chests. They’re luxury convenience items, and as such are probably the rarest items possible from the chests.

Definitely, seeing how something like this can make life so much easier lol. Just curious on who got their hands on it so far :p

These things will also probably be account bound. I figure the price of the chests and conduits will go up even if just slightly. There is a rush for everyone to sell.
What a clever ploy from Anet to include super-rare items into the chest. I bet the keys are selling like crazy for a while, until people realize it’s gonna take them 1000 chests on average to find one of these perma items.
Opening 1000 chests takes around 500 keys, which would cost 45000 gems. You do the math.
I bought 5 to try my luck – I like the mystery potions that we now get, great idea.
However I’m starting to feel like the game is a great big slot machine – gamble at the mystic forge, gamble on which dyes you get, which minis you get etc etc. While that can be fun on occassion and I’m sure its making anet profit, as a gamer I feel more than a little bothered by it. shrug Maybe Im not anets target demographic.
I’ve opened over 100 so far and no permanent item…. now I’m broke haha

You can purchase the dye you want from the TP with gold (if you got enough), mystic forge has a lot of certain recipes and the random ones are not really worth it anyway.
It’s like gambling yes, but also in the sense that you don’t have to do it.
I opened 56 after the update – not a single one…
I did however get a few new items (not including the mystery tonics)
New items? What new items? Even if not perma, do tell about any new findings!
i tried 15 chests and got no perma items xD
nearly 100 chests here and no perms

I’ve bought lottery tickets every week for 5 years, still no grand prize.
/shrug
The difference being that the lottery clearly and concisely gives out the odds information. Knowledge it seems in the case of the GW2 economy is a critical component as there are a great many items produced “randomly”. If everyone knew that there was a 1/1000 chance of getting the rare item out of the chest very few would try. If it was 1 in 5 nearly everyone would give it a go and basically “buy” the item with attempts.
I have a feeling I will go home after work and my roommate will be sitting at his computer with a huge smile because he found a perma item. That kitten has some crazy kitten luck. His first dye was abyssal…
Except even knowing the odds people still gamble. Everybody knows that the house always wins yet casinos are always full.
500 keys so far bought between 3 people and nothing, no reports of anyone getting it 12 hours after patch, unless the chance of getting it is 0.001% I’d say ArenaNet forgot to add the item to the chest drop list just as they forgot to add the conduit and then later edited it out from the patch notes but why would they admit this if its making them a lot of money
they want people to buy the keys, put statless skins for armor and weapons in chests with a reasonable drop rate add items that people may want…the crap in the chests right now are not worth my money, or are too rare to try for. you want people to BUY your stuff, make it worth something…currently, not the case.
If you watch the gamebreaker for this week exlixabeth says she got the perm trader item for what she called 2 handfulls of keys
Yeah, I am gonna wait this one out. Tried 5 keys, nothing, that is usually enough for me to be deterred from sinking more money into it. I guess I am not that much of a gambler (luckily).
<strokes his Mystic Forge Conduit>i once get a permanent can which transforms me into tables or chairs.
was quiet after the launch in august.
but as i dont get any keys atm i cant confirmt the existens of the new perma items
My husband got one on his first dropped key after the update. So mad.
Wow, that would be really annoying.
Does it work for allies/party members too, or just the character who owns it?
