Help Me Earn With 100G
So I have spare 100G, been running dungeons so much I no longer want to do it.
I’ve never flipped anything before and to be honest I have no desire to sit on TP.Suggestions?
And no, I’m not sending gold to you.
Dont send gold to me, send gold to my trading account.
Honestly, if you never flipped before or played around on the tp, be prepared to lose some gold. Many people claim its easy to make profits on the tp but you actually have to put some effort into it and the time investment is also a little bit higher than people want you to believe.
I could tell you plenty of things, i make good profit with atm but, if I would mention it here, you wouldnt be the only one to come onboard.
The trick to lots of profit on the tp is lots of research and knowledge of the market.
That will take as much time as you spent in dungeons and your profits wont be that great for the first 1 or 2 months.
Do some research and send me a PM with items you think are a good investment and why you think so and i will tell you my opinion about.
Bloin – Running around, tagging Keeps, getting whack on Scoobie Snacks.

^ Could not agree more.
Yes I can earn gold quite easily on the TP now. But it was not like that when I first started. I have lost probably more gold than most people have ever had.
You have to be prepared to take big losses at first, and to consider them part of the learning experience. So do not jump on the biggest thing you can, start with small items that you can make a small amount of profit on.
And diversify, never buy just one thing you think will make you money. (You will likely lose on one, but make some gold back on another.) Which is a very valuable lesson. Because this will happen quite often.
I speculated on Runes AND Sigils both before the new patch. I sunk in roughly 100g between the two of them.
The Runes made me nothing, I barely broke even. But the Sigils turned a massive profit. (Also never sell your entire stock at once — try to sell roughly 50-75% of them when they go up high enough to your liking. And then keep the rest in case they continue to rise.)
This way you make a nice chunk of gold and cover your original cost + considerably profit. I always like to keep a few left over that are practically free (since I paid for the cost and profited already considerably) in the off chance they go even higher later.
If they do not rise later: no real harm. If they do: more profit.

Buy low, sell high – flipping, right?
The thing is, how do you find the things to buy?
And isn’t the process painfully slow?

It is entirely speculation, for the most part. Even when you get information from Anet hinting on changes to the game. (Like how it was mentioned Runes/Sigils would change. Runes stats would change, and the Sigils CDs would work together now.)
The best way to start is to search the Trading Post for items that have a gap between the Buy/Sell orders and to start really low (like 1s-5s) and play with it a while to make some copper profit. Once you get comfortable, try bigger items. (5s-25s) And keep going from there.
Once you get that part down pat, start paying attention very closely to any news Anet lets out. (Like the mention of changes to Runes/Sigils, the changes to Legendary Weapons that account bounded them, and prompted prices of Precursors to shift upward. The announcement of the Precursor hunt (when it comes, and then the prices of T5-T6 mats and Cores/Lodestones when it happens.)
It is almost entirely 100% speculation and guessing. Once you do it enough you can lower your error margin. (Or get as close to a 50/50, 40/60, 30/70, 20/80 guess as possible. Which changes depending on what you are dealing with.) You can only make money, or lose it.

Once you have enough money saved up, a good 500g+ Start making some long term investments. You can even invest in Black Lion Skins when they are at 1 ticket. (Because they usually stay around 30-70g.) But eventually they go up to 5 tickets/7 tickets and given enough time will rise to around 30-40g a ticket cost. (So they start around 30-70g but will eventually go up to 150-210g given around 3-9 months time.)

Superior Runes of the Sunless!
Do some research and start buying up what you think is underpriced to sell at a later date.
You can use resources like gw2spidy and other sites to tell you the price trends but also note that just because something was at price Y before doesn’t mean it will necessary go back up there as there may have been patches that changed the item’s supply and/or demand.
