The prices on basic resources have shot up over the past month, cant figure out why, unless they banned alot of botters.

Or a lot of people need them, thus increasing demand?

probabbly because people have attained more money now. Be it by grinding or achievmentchests.
if it’s the latter the price would then be expected to decrease soon

Well there is the obvious thing with the zephyr supply boxes …

Remember that blog post just a while back saying there would be a new tier of resources that requires all resources tiers to create?
Notice how many resources shot up in price immediately following that post.
I’d say a large amount of player speculation had to do with it, along with the zephyr boxes of course.

Actually now that most have finished with the zephyr event prices have started to come down these last few days.

The prices for bronze ore and wood are still up

maybe more people are leveling crafting too because of ascended gear being account bound.

Supply and demand in action – supply has remained roughly the same, but there is increased demand because of new events in the game and coming soon.

This. People are hoarding t1-t6 mats because of the recent blog posts. Crafting will see in huge influx if they move forward with everything outlined in the post.
