How can i sell precursor dagger?
You can vendor it or trade with another player. Be aware that you could get scammed.
Yes as above, vendor it if you don’t use trade post.
Or spam WTS on map chat.
Then somebody came up and asked you to mail him the weapon first, you will refuse, right?
Then you ask him to mail you the money first, he for sure will refuse.
So no, destroy it or a legendary yourself if you don’t want to use trade post.
Why don’t you ask a trusted friend or guild mate if they’re making incinerator? You could trade it to them cheaply and since you know them you wouldn’t be scammed and they’d probably love you forever!
Taking a break from GW2 to play various
Nintendo games..
“Vendor it” looool
Dude just place it on tp , is gone cost you 60g if u sell for 1200 + another 120g after u sell it. Btw they sell pretty fast
So will selling a precursor via mail be legal for anet? Sending mail with 1200+ gold is legal?

It is legal. But they won´t replace anything if one side decides to break the agreement.

So out of curiosity why wouldn’t you use the TP to trade one of the most valuable items in the game?

Only reason that occurs to me if he doesn’t have the gold to cover the fees. In that case I would hold on to it till I had the gold and then sell it.
I sell tons of pre’s off Tp. Never an issue. Anet wont even bat an eye if you get sent 1200g and then send Spark to someone.
I am “That” guy you have all heard about.
1,073 precursors forged and counting.

Some people hate “losing” 15% to Evon, some folks like to barter, and, as above, some cannot afford the listing fees.

People who do this all the time are rarely scammed, because, well, they do it all the time. They can do a better job of assessing whether the other party will be a reliable trading partner or not.
But I don’t recommend off-TP trades for just a single, extremely valuable item: 15% is a very small cost to remove any chance of losing the item to an unscrupulous player.
As an alternative, you can find another player to serve as escrow between the two traders. Anyone who is “famous” will do, e.g. many commanders in traditional WvW (i.e. not EotM), leaders of large guilds, or a few of the power traders in this forum. These people are well-known to the community and therefore have a vested interest in protecting their reputation, as opposed to a random player found in /map chat who has no particular reputation.
As a long-term “resident” of Tarnished Coast, I would probably ask Sofia Fairborne (already known for ex-TP trades) or a commander from [CERN], [AARM], etc.
$10 of gems converted to gold will cover the 65g to post to get 1100g from selling it if that’s the problem.
RIP City of Heroes
I would be wary of anyone nowadays as they have name change contracts for sale which means someone who is known as a “good guy” could still scam you and then just change their name as well as a server and you will be sol. Never underestimate the power of greed especially in online games where nothing can happen to you IRL and dealing with such a large chunk of cash. Better off eating the TP fees and knowing you wont be ripped off period.
Am I legendary yet!?

I would not trust anyone with something that valuable. However, the name change only works for the character, not the account name.
Sorry Wirtz, but if you want a no risk way of selling that bad-boy you’ll have t suck it up and pay the TP tax.
ANY other way has a percentage of risk which end in you getting ripped off.
If the problem is the gold, sell off whatever materials you have in storage, or ask guildmates for small amounts – write it down, and be sure to pay them back.
It will give you a good reputation with your guild, and once you’ve sold the Spark, you will have a whole world of gold that will change your life.
Don’t spend it all!
Also note, in private trades, the buyer will expect a deal over just picking it up at the trading post!
My opinion on trading player-to-player:
You give them your Spark. Getting 1200g in return is just a bonus and should not be expected.
As such, I only recommend ‘trading’ off-TP what you can afford to lose.
