How do purchasable armor skins work?
You buy the skin and apply them once, and then with transmute stones you can continue to use the skins.
So.. they DO work like the Heritage skins in the HoM, then? If so, they seem worth it (not so much if they disappear after the first application).

Yes. I got the Primeval one and have applied various parts to newer armor pieces I find a few times now.
Sweet – thanks!
No they dont work like the HoM rewards skins.
You can only apply them once after that if you want to use it on another armor you must use transmutations stones (or fine trans stones if the gear is level 80) to move the look from your current armor to a new piece of equipment.
The HoM rewards can applied and reapplied as many times as you want to as many items as you want withut any t stones.
Ah, I see… well, never mind, then… Thanks!
That’s pretty terrible. Why do they keep making the stuff you can buy for this game in the cashshop so useless? The armor skins with this system would only be worth using at level 80 when you already have neat looking armor. Trying to use them while leveling would be a pain in thekitten with this system.
The Fine Transmutation stones are pretty common drop from Black Lion Chests and they’re pretty cheap on the gem store too. ~70 silver can just about buy you gems for a bunch of 5. How often you want to change your lvl 80 gear?
Basic stones (for gear below 80) everyone should have troves of sitting in their bank.
