Why is there such a huge gap in price between t1/t2 and t3 cultural armour? T1 and t2 are pretty cheap, and suddenly the there’s thus huge bump. Anyway, it’s cultural. It should be discounted.

T3 Cultural armor is basically for bragging rights. It’s the most expensive armor skin in the game (save for Light Ascended armor), and it functions both as a way for players to show off their wealth, as well as a major gold sink.

Run dungeons. 1g+ per path per day and then use the tokens to buy armor to salvage for materials and sell them. In the grand scheme of things they are some of the more easily obtainable skins. Even if they are somewhat expensive.

Save all you can and buy it.

Forget about ascended… they look hideous while Norn cultural are pretty much the best looking armor in game

where was this post moved from? I agree: it has no place in BLTP forum. GW2 discussions would be appropriate. I really hate when mods do stuff without actually reading it first. also when they move my posts from bugs to discussions.

I wouldn’t have started this discussion for any other races’ armour; it’s just that the Norn t3 looks so awesome! It is by far, the best looking set of armour in game (I my opinion, anyway). But 190G? That’s just way over what I can swing right now

Also less if you don’t buy all parts. For my Norn girls i simply just bought chest and legs
since that are the most visible parts. Head and shoulders are always hidden, so i don’t
need them, and for hands and feets i had other cheaper alternatives

So in that case it was 55 gold for me .. did the same also with norn and human t3 medium.

Instead of salvaging the pieces, just give them back to the Cultural Armor vendor for a whooping 18 or so gold.

It always makes my heart bleed when I see someone saying he just salvaged his/her T3 set after they bought it. :c

Haha .. yeah i made a human female elementalist after the wardrobe patch and bought
her T3 chest and legs and noticed that i could now directly sell them back to the vendor
for some gold

Didn’t work however with order armor .. they can only be destroyed.

I learned this lesson the hard way. I decided to max out that achievement, so I bought all the asura cultural, salvaged it. then part way through the human I realized the vendor value for them was so much higher than I expected, so I sold the rest to the merchant. could of been worse.

Cultural T3 skins are more proof that you have the money to drop a 120g on an armor skin. The armor (being Rare) is pretty useless to a LVL 80 character (seeing how you could fully equip a dozen characters in full Exotic for that price).

The only other reason to obtain it is Achievements.

The Wardrobe system makes it a bit more useful (considering you could have other characters of the same race / weight class), but the racial limitation still makes that questionable for many players.

Also, the price has remained constant while what 120g will buy on the TP (and how long it takes to earn) has changed DRASTICALLY since release. Much easier to obtain now.
