I somehow accidentally placed an order of 1 heavy loot bag at 48 copper (minimum price) and it got sold to me.

I have no idea how it happened, but it did, and that image is proof!

It is clearly evidence with this new TP system those that don’t believe in selling to the highest bidders or selling at the outrageous prices could sell to whomever and whenever they want.

If a precursor is only worth 5 silver they would do it— it seems…

That gives me an idea…

I had it happen with a Charged Core already, got one for 50c

It happens all the time, when I’m selling after a world boss I don’t bother checking how much I’m selling it for as I’m not really trying to make as much money as I can so I just sell it instantly. Every once in a while I’ll sell something WAY lower than it’s being listed for because someone put in a buy order that is much lower than average and I don’t pay attention when I hit the sell button.

Some unscrupulous flippers will do this occasionally to flip it for much higher profit by placing really low buy orders that will get filled by people like me who just hit the sell button as fast as possible to get it over with.

You’ll always sell to the highest buy order, but previously if you entered a value lower than the highest buy order it would only charge you a fee on the low value. This was recently patched, so if you put in a low value you will sell your item for that price and the buyer will get refunded the difference.

Happened to me yesterday with an exotic weapon, someone sold it to me for vendor price and I got refunded my buy order. I assume it was someone who didn’t realise the bug had been patched

That’s what happened in this case – if you look in the delivery box, he has been refunded his buy order for that bag, less 48c he paid for it.

It’s a … quirk with the TP. If you sell an item to high bid before the high bids are loaded, you sell for minimum price allowed.

Honestly there are a lot of people who need to slow down just a smidge during their selling frenzy to avoid these accidental sales. Of course they could lock out the sell button on the TP until the current bidders are loaded but I imagine the delay would generate a lot of complaints as well.
