can I buy say one of the skins and then flip it on the BLTC to sell (understanding I would not unlock the skin)

I see some skins going for like 700 gold. So could I use the 5 tickets to flip into gold like that?

Or, once I buy the skin it is account bound and can not list on the trading co.

You can list any black lion weapon skins on the trading post. None of them are account bound. I’d look at bids rather than sell prices, to double check the value. Also, be aware that you have to have the listing fee on hand if you want to sell something for 700g.

yes, you could buy a BL skin with tickets and sell it on the TP. most of those items are 300-700g because they cost 3-7 tickets. I would recommend to buy some current skins for 1 ticket each and hold onto them for a few months until they reach the 300-700g price, so you’d get 1500-3500g in like 6 months. Make sure it’s a popular skin; not all of the them appreciate so well.

The average value per ticket varies drastically depending on which skin. Ley Line skins are trading at under 20g/ticket, while Tempest and Fused skins are worth over 50g/ticket. (If bought today with tickets.)

In terms of how long you have to wait, the average value (comparing highest buy to lowest sell) for each “family” of skins is below:

• Halloween 2013 (Oct-2013): ~164g
• Fused (Mar-2013): ~500g
• Sclerite (May-2013): ~190g
• Aetherized (July-2013): ~340g
• Zodiac (Aug-2013): ~300g
• Dreamthistle (Oct-2013): ~370g
• Lovestruck (Feb-2014): ~145g
• Tormented (Mar-2014): ~180g
• Phoenix (May-2014): ~120g
• Ley Line (July-2014): ~80g
• Chaos (Aug-2014): ~120g
• Tempest (Sep-2014): ~60g

Only 3 skins acquired via BL tickets currently sell at over 700g: Dreamthistle Short Bow, Fused Axe, Winter’s Reach Longbow. 21 such skins sell at more than 500g.

tl;dr The question to ask yourself is: do you want a quick 50-90g/ticket now or wait a year (or more) to earn 300g/ticket.
