Guild Wars 2

I really like the game so far and i would like to support it but i see nothing in the gem store that i want. The only thing i kind of like is the aviator sunglasses but i can only wear them in town so i dont want them and i dont like any of the armor skins. Maybe if you guys add a different variety of epic looking armor and weapon skins then i would be more then happy to buy them and support the game. Also i think my thief would look so cool shooting her pistols with aviator sunglasses on, if i was able to do that then hell yea i’d buy a pair…

I would dump a bunch of monies into the cash shop if they made the glasses available to skin over actual armor. GW1 did, and I really miss that look.

Gem store really doesn’t worth what they ask us to pay for. Somethings that could be usefull are overpriced, and others are just temporary (I hate pay real money for temporary things).

gem store is mostly there if you want to skip the exotic or legendary gear grind, or buy some armor set.

why the sunglasses ? lol…

buy gems for gold and get a T3 cultural armor set. same thing really..

and if youre a rich supporter; buy a legendary!

most things in pve can be bought.
for about 80$ (maybe less) youll have a level 80 fully exotic gear.

really if thats what you want.

or, just play it for the story and lore and fun explore.

This is just one more part of the game that needs an overhaul, The cosmetic system and gem store in connection. Town clothes are barely used or usable outside of afking or standing around. Allow me to wear a cosmetic set of clothes over my armor in PvE at least…

But on topic, they seriously need like 2 people to just stamp out large amounts of (at least) cosmetic items. There is nothing in the store to buy, I can’t say I’d give them money when they have nothing… a store with no interesting merchandise.

And I hope they take the permanent route on most items, nobody ever likes renting items.

well how about more charakter slots or the mini pets or more iventory bags or more bank slots ? in gw1 mini pets were the nr.1 prestige things…. i bought them all but with ingame gold tradet for gems (tradet about 30g in gems to get them all) , so i didn´t rly support them..:D

just exchange gems for gold and go buy cultural armor sets, or the fancy vigil armor or the priory weapons.
or buy the crafting mats to go to 400 and craft what you want.

gosh some people are not open minded.

I feel that the gem store options are far from where they want them to be at this point. I fully expect for there to be a wide range of armor skins, town clothing options and other cosmetic perks in the months to come as well as some adjustments on the pricing.

Best bet is to wait it out and see where they go with it, because I honestly think it’s far from where it could be.

Money isn’t an issue, I got plenty of gold and they do have many great armor sets out of store. But I can’t see the issue with them having a constant flow of impressive looking armor being sold in the Gem store. Its how they could make money and give us awesome content (anyone who complains about it being a money grab would have to face the fact that they are a business giving us a lot of content and constant support for 1 fixed price. They need revenue.)

I’m sure they have plans for expanding what they have, but the problem is… I’m in the game now. I can’t say that everyone will stick around or come back. Its the nature of many people to move about as life changes.

Yeah, I also hate buying food or going to the cinema, or even pay rent.

It’s weird how with virtual goods, if we buy something, we want to own it forever, while most things we spend money on in real life don’t really last for long.

I wouldn’t mind some more options in the gems store, more skins for armor etc. I guess things will come with time, but they are wasting potential revenue here. On the other hand, it’s a good sign that they are not purely focussing on adding stuff that creates revenue.

erm, why should I stop then. I love to collect skins, one certain skin is never enough. To bad the system doesn’t support the use of a variety of skins.

The idea that people are buying armor and gems to “dodge the grind” seems absurd. All they are is dodging the game, their choice.
I’d still like more options and when they create things for an actual profit they can get fancier. There is a lot of potential and maybe if they get some time to experiment they can create more awesome things. Both in the gem store and in-game. This isn’t about the actual gear or game content. I feel this is more about having options and reasons the spend my money.

Also using a cosmetic system which allows me to overlap my armor with my cosmetics is great, then I can buy cosmetic slots and have multiple sets if gear to show off my characters…

I feel like that’s the largest reason everything seems slow. They have so many directions to expand and fix that they can’t do anything quickly. Which is sad because progress is always a plus.
