Again, timing your sale is NOT important; if you have no idea what price you think an item might reach, then don’t buy it. Timing your purchase IS important, because if you have reason to expect an item to increase in value, then you should also expect that the item will not get any cheaper than it is right now.

If you mean straight-up “flipping”, there’s really no need for a site like that, it only takes a few minutes on the TP to see which items to flip; “flipping” as the word has been used in GW2 usually refers to finding gaps in the price btwn Bid Orders and Buy It Now prices. So, if a level 20 Charr Greatsword of Force has a Bid price of 8 silver, & a Buy It Now price of 18 silver, that means you can put in a Bid on it, and as soon as the purchase is made you can “flip” it for an immediate 8 silver profit. People who are really into “flipping” items, of course, will have this kind of thing going on 200-500 items at a time (8 silver x 500 items = 40 gold). This is a good way for people with limited gold to make more money in the game, as it only takes a few minutes to set this up (put in your bids before logging off, sell everything the next time you log on) and they can continue farming/running dungeons/standing in LA or whatever they would normally do.

But yeah, there probably is not a site telling you specifically what items to flip “today” or whatever, because it’s simply not needed, as it’s so easy to peruse the Trading Post for a few mintues (or even GW2spidy.com) and find tons of items ready for you to flip for profit!

That would be extremely time-sensitive information, requiring someone to pretty much camp at the TP for the sole purpose of allowing other people to make money. Who would do that, and why?

Even if someone did this, once more than a handful of flippers concentrate on a single item they compete with each other to the point where no one will make a profit. The only way this would be of benefit is if you were one of the first two or three people to see the info. This brings us to the first question, why would anyone go through so much trouble when he could just act on the info himself?

The only reason I can see for such a site to exist is for someone who ended up with a bank full of “duds” he wants to get rid of. Make enough people believe the items he has for sale are undervalued, hidden gems and make a profit off of other people’s foolishness.

Well, Thank You. I’m not really looking onto flipping, my “TP-Play” is solid,
since I found powerselling disgousting, and harmful to the whole economy.
So I’m looking for the opportunity to block these users out of this “play”…

So how exactly is you making 31g profit good for the whole economy?

in a TP flip, the buy orders get increased (usually by 1c) and the sell listings get decreased (usually by 1c).
buy orders being increased will make people trying to sell the item quickly very happy
sell listings being decreased will make the people trying to buy the item quickly very happy
I made a tool that tells you what is the most profitable to flip (it gets the prices from spidy then compares buy orders to sell listing prices). Some of the things go up to 1200+% profit. It has an upper limit filter (so it won’t show things above 400%, for example), because anything stupid high like that is very very very unlikely you will be able to buy it at that low of a price and sell it at that high of a price.
Current Top-5 highest % profit flips:
Vigorous Dredge Barricade (rare lvl 50) – buy for 1s38c, sell for 1g11s10c = 6,743%
Dire Ceremonial Hammer of Intelligence (exotic lvl 70) – buy for 5s65c, sell for 4g20s97c = 6,233%
Rampager’s Shield of Grawl Slaying (exotic lvl 63) – buy for 6s24c, sell for 1g59s10c = 2,067%
Rejuvenating Gladiator Boots (rare lvl 35) – buy for 4s13c, sell for 97s93c = 1,916%
Rejuvenating Dredge Spear (rare lvl 50) – buy for kitten, sell for 95s45c = 1,903%
honorable mention:
Recipe: Satchel of Rampager’s Emblazoned Armor (exotic) – buy for 1g6s2c, sell for 17g14s75c = 1,275%

I usually don’t bother with flipping. Too much waiting, too unlikely you’ll buy/sell at those prices, too slow imo. Things in the mid-range are much better to flip. Like, 100% profit on a 1g purchase is, in my mind, ideal.
