Given that you need 1500 of them for a set of perplexity runes and there supply will drop of significantly now that the invasions are occasional, is it worth buying up some of these?

I would say yes. They were already up at 24c apiece before the patch. They still drop from enemies, but the supply is severely cut down now. The vendor price is 13c per piece so it can’t go any lower than what it is currently (sell price 15c, lowest buy price 14c).
