Legendary Weapons instant bind
The demand for legendaries would increase if you make them soulbound on creation. It is hard to imagine buying a legendary but instead of buying a precursor some players have the money to skip the process and get a legendary. Their should be more skill based rewards in this game instead of all being timed based.

It’s a bit late to be trying to stuff that genie back into the bottle.
I never saw the point of Legendaries being sellable. If the reason is “You can be a great weaponsmith who lives by making the best of”, then I state that we shouldn’t have this opportunity at all in cost of breaking prestige, lore and market.
Also, the possibility to just buy a legendary – destroys its prestige as well as the requirements you need to craft one.

Items….have prestige? Since when? On a more serious note, no, not enough people care about legendaries.
It is not too late. Never is. One day, don’t allow to upload Legendaries to the TP, let them expire, so last ones can be bought. Meanwhile, make precursors craftable or optainable in a way (10k AP chest?), and then if anyone wants a legendary, have to make it on his own. I can just hope they will reduce the grind we need for it.
Or allow Ascended Armors to sell too, but limit their price.
Until no price limits made, there will be people who keep the price up, and people who will buy gold from third-party just to get these items.
What would be the best? The TOP items, aka Ascended/Legendary are ACCOUNT-locked from the start, and require a normal way to craft them, or even better, to let us upgrade our existing gears during leveling with crafting methoods. + Material prestige.

Legendaries on the TP was a very good move by anet in a monetary sense.
Some people have way, way too much money to waste and will buy 500$ of gems to buy a legendary off the TP.
That is the sole reason they are onthe TP. it was cash making move.
They make millions from selling Black Lion keys and special dye packs. A couple thousand from rich and impatient children isn’t even a drop in the bucket. The reasons for selling these items on the TP is to allow casual players to obtain them without having to go through 100% map completion, grind dungeons and so on.
Then make the individual gifts tradable. All the materials required, but the legendary itself must not be tradable. It should not come in a complete package.

They already are tradeable. The only one you cant trade is the Gift from world exploration. Everything else you can buy the composite materials and craft yourself, or buy the runs for them (if you need the Arah token Gift).
I do have to ask though, why the problem with being able to sell legendaries? Because there should be something special about them? Or some other equally mindless reason?
I personally think that the restriction on Ascended was a compromise between vertical progression and making sure you couldn’t simply buy one. If you want it, vertical progression, so badly then grind it out.
Legendary on the other hand was the penultimate “rare” weapon at game launch and since precursors are randomly dropped, you may get one you can’t use but have the ability to craft it into a Legendary, that you also can’t use, so making it salable was a way to balance the RNG aspect of precursor drops.

If I want another legendary and I can’t buy one then I’ll buy all the components and shove the junk into the mystic forge over the course of an hour.
Then if I cared enough about “prestige” I’ll just lie and say I worked hard for it.
