The mini seems really expensive for 400 gems. Hopefully it isn’t a trend.

Quite lazy copy of the mini White kitten that wasn t even that good.
Orange tabby and chauncy von snuffles III are still way better.

The orange cat looks like a kitten version of the tabby cat from HoM rewards.

I only started playing last august and since then I don’t recall seeing any single minis sold for 400 gems, just the usual limited 3-pack for 500. I bought it cause I’m a sucker for baby minis, they’re just too cute, but I hope this doesn’t mean the start of overpriced single minis sales I much prefer the 3-pack set with the occasional option to forge them into a 4th exclusive.

Why is that cat so expensive? -__- I hope they aren’t planning on making those minis combinable into the mystic dragon mini or people will rage!

400 gems for a single mini is far too expensive. Mini 3 packs were less expensive than this.

If those in charge of the Gem shop are planning on selling this kitten, and the other two (as unreleased) baby minis for this price – and then spring it on the customers that you need to throw them in the MF to get the (as unreleased) mystic Dragon … well, they better have their sweatervest +5 vs. Pitchforks ready.
The player rage will be extreme.

I just don’t see how they can justify a single mini @ 400gems.

oh, and the Llama finisher … funny and very troll worthy, but I really wish they would keep it at least GW2 themed. A Llama seems very random, unless I’m missing an inside joke or something.

Well considering they’ve never made an appearance anywhere in the Guild Wars 2 universe… It seems fairly nonsensical. There are some extinct species on Tyria, however, but with sweet moves like that it is hard to ascertain how one would become extinct.

I know, they even come with their own light show.

Well considering they’ve never made an appearance anywhere in the Guild Wars 2 universe… It seems fairly nonsensical. There are some extinct species on Tyria, however, but with sweet moves like that it is hard to ascertain how one would become extinct.

My guess is that with the little fanfare at the end that we will be seeing 16bit llamas in SAB world 3.

I do wish they were in a 3 pack for at most 500 Gems, but I wasn’t that hopeful. As you said I remembered how the Spring 2013 minis were 400 a piece, so I figured that they might do that again. At least it’s just 3 and not 5 this year, as much as I love minis 5 at 500 each is pushing it on how much I personally like to spend in a month on GW2.

This is a 400% mark up on a mini, also as mentioned above it is not offering anything out of the ordinary.

Too bad I had to buy it to keep my collection complete. Bought it with gold to gems thought.

There is no free key unless you didn’t yet pick yours up, I think. I just checked. As to the kitten, ick. I was sorely disappointed with the white one and remain fed up enough with the town clothes issue that I’m not spending cash in the store for a pet I’d want latex gloves on before touching. It looks greasy and deformed. How can Anet do such magnificent canines and such clunky felines?

I don’t get the whole mini-pet thing.

However, I think I’m going to be buying my first finisher. xD

They’re dog people?

They are trying hard to make the kittens cute and adorable. Imo though they don’t have the proportions right. The body to me looks like an adult cat’s body with a large head attached. The combination is supposed to look young, but it doesn’t really. To me, the body needs to be shorter, maybe not quite as stocky.

Yeah. The kittens look “off” since they’re basically oversized heads pasted onto a standard cat body model. The proportions are all off and it triggers our “uncanny valley” sensors in our brains.

Juvenile animal models really need to be done from scratch, like the wolf pup model and the bear cub models.

The Llama Finisher is very funny (as was the Minstrel Finisher). But it’s by far too expensive. 10€ for such a thing is a ripoff. I would pay 2€ however.

I just had to have this finisher! Took it into EB yesterday and had all of the lulz!
