Hey everyone, the gemstore was just updated with a new logging tool for 1000 gems (log-r-tron), a mask for 500 gems (Glint’s Glazing Mask), and a new balloon for 500 gems (Pact Airship Balloon).

(I also noticed you have “Glint’s Glazing Mask” written everywhere, even on your youtube video title, but it is “Glint’s Gaze Mask”. Gaze, not glazing. Just pointing it out. Now I really want some donuts.)

I feel like the 2 newer glowing masks are more vibrant than the first one (Crimson).. Well, I can still vaguely see eyes/pupils from behind the Crimson one as apposed to these newer masks. Either way, interesting new items.

My question is, what does “This Tool Replaces your Logging axe on Any Character” mean? do I still have to manually place it on all my toons to use? or is it going to be my logging axe automatically whatever toon I log in?

It’s probably just a terribly-worded way of saying “This tool can be traded between any of your characters”.

Pick a character. Equip it in your logging tool slot.

It’s just like any other gathering tool; you buy one, and equip it to whoever you like. Difference is, this one is unlimited use and talks.

I guess Job-o-tron’s popularity is finally manifesting itself in the game. Two items in two weeks? I hope the poor guy is getting some royalties from them.

This is the first permanent harvest tool I really want. I still won’t buy it, mind you, because I still can’t justify a purchase that only applies to one character when I play 6 of them (and I can’t be bothered to move it around). But its definitely the coolest one released so far, IMO.

Other two items are meh. Another overpriced recolored glow eye, bleh. The Pact Airship is kind of neat in concept, but also overpriced considering it does nothing, and I also don’t like the fact that it floats sideways. Straighten it out at least.

Does the Log-R-Tron also root you like the Frost Wasp Logging Tool or is it like the Chop-It-All or Dreamcleaver tool?

Maybe this is an old complain, but why is it not possible to release only one dyeble version of the Mask? Does the glow incur in some technical limitation to change the color at will?

Why release a dye-able one when you can get money for selling each separate color instead?

it incurs the inability to recolor it and sell it in the gemstore for more profit.

In short, yes. Particles are harder to change color on than textures. Having a single, dyable mask would involve programming a different appearance for every dye in the game. Imagine if Frostfang had 451 different versions, one for each color. Asking for dyable particle effects is very similar.

It does not root you, and they fixed the wasp bug.

The robot is very nice, but the other stuff are meh.
The pact airship should be more than just a balloon. Maybe some sort of RC toy?

New stuff is good on the TP (i.e.) the log-r-tron, blue mask, etc. but I wish they would bring back some of the older stuff. The last 2 logging tools have been meh imo. For me, the frost wasp logging tool and the watchwork mining pick are the best tools. Maybe they will bring them back again soon.

500 gems seems a bit overpriced for a new color on an old skin. Considering cute quaggan hats are only 300 gems
