What on earth happened? I was going through my crafting mats to make some cash, and, to my surprise, all wood had gone up in price by about 5 or 6 times what they were.

Any insight as to why the spike?

Perhaps because bow, staff, and other legendary precursors that use wood are worth so much on the TP that these mats are being used to craft rares/exotics that are being pumped into the mystic forge?

One more in a long list of items that bots and gold farmers are playing the market with.

Not only that, but I wouldn’t be surprised if general supply of wood is still down from the harvesting end. Log prices were going so low I wasn’t even bothering to harvest the low level trees anymore, doubt I was alone on that one.

Dont know if other players do like I do but white blue green yellow log butter walnut iron ore its all vendor trash to me. May check tp once in a while buy if its only worth a couple copper more than vendor the vendor gets it. Of course if it fits in collection it goes there or to a friend if they have need.

They have been steadily rising as the surge of players hitting 80 need them for crafting.

Only green wood really hasn’t taken a hit.

I just tell people, I don’t worry about port costs anymore if I can chop 3 trees when I get there.

Moving the nodes around has really messed up the bots that harvest in other games so much that I never see bots in this game harvest nodes. Trees in particular I suspect are hard to target dynamically.

I know when I leveled huntsman a lot of times, esp in the iron ranges it was a lot cheaper to make metal parts than wood ones (contrary to the leveling guides).
