My first character is an Asuran Engineer, and I sort of screwed up on the way he looks and would really like to tweak it. I noticed there currently isn’t a make-over option in the BLTC Gem Store, but I’m hoping this feature is added soon?

I second this! I really want to see this as an option. This should be a no brainer!

I am rather surprised this wasn’t an item already listed on the BLTC at launch.

They had similar options in GW1, so I reckon it’ll be a matter of time before it’s being added into GW2 =) I for one support it and would love to get a chance to redo my Asura’s hairdo.

I think this would be a highly anticipated feature. Not to put too fine a point on it, but I rerolled my “main” literally twelve times. Three or four of those times I’d gotten as far as my early 20s before rolling, and only once did I ever reroll for the sake of changing class.

All other examples were for changing my appearance, skin tone, tattoos, hair style, etc. I finally found a combination that I think looks good but would STILL enjoy the option to change my hair style and color down the road, at the very least. Skin tone, body type and face. . I could see that not being an option, or at least a different level of customization.

Maybe put in two different items?

1) Recustomize your characters tattoos, scars, hair and facial hair.

2) Recustomize your entire character! Want to be taller? No problem! New eyes? Got you covered.

I look forward to this option hopefully being added in the future. I have a character right now i would love to re-customize but don’t feel like starting all over.

+1. Kind of got misled about character heights and would like to make mine the tallest; possibly change some skin patterns too.

I’m sure ANet would love to make more money from gem purchases from such a service anyhow.

+1 for me, too. I’m reasonably happy with all of my current characters, but I’m not-so-secretly hoping that additional “hair packs” and “face packs” and possibly “tattoo packs” will someday (soon?) be available in the gem store, which would nearly necessitate makeovers for existing characters who want to take advantage of the new looks.

I wouldn’t mind playing a bit more with my warrior’s look, though….she’s the only one I’m still uncertain of, but since she’s made it all the way to level 26, the idea of making minor tweaks isn’t enough to make me want to reroll.

Definitely looking forward to a “make over” option!

Count me as another part of that demand. It’s not the end of the world for my character if I can’t change his features, but I would gladly pay gems to make a few modifications that I hadn’t noticed when I’d first done him.

Maybe add an in-game “Barber” for quick re-customization of beards and hair styles/colors?

Every MMO should offer this, in one form or another. Needing to pay real money for it is less than ideal, but better than nothing.

I’d just like to request that if it does get added, to make it work in such a way that changes can be made repeatedly, for a limited time. A day, or even just an hour. If I’m going to spend money on it, it’d be nice to have a little extra leeway, in case mistakes are made, or just further tweaking is needed.

Great job on the character creator, btw. Possibly the best I’ve seen in any MMO. Would be nice to be able to revisit it once in a while

I’d like something like this too, while making my Norn I turned of the tribals to finetune some sliders and forgot to select it again. A shame, but I only realized it after several hours. So if there would be an option to buy some re-customizing I’d sure as hell would get it.

Race change would also be in demand I think (several of guildies expressed the wish for it). Dunno how the implementation would be with cultural armors and whatnot.

Yes please, there have been multiple threats on that already, both on this forum as well as fan based. The demand is as big as Norn’s are! Huge in fact, we are craving to give you our monies – seriously, a certain company has us so well trained we are not feeling particularly comfortable not spending money on a game systematically

And seriously, that would be ace, a lot of first toons have been created in a rush :p

Gold cost is low for now, but as more people get higher level, that’s going to go way up. Plus, for many players, even that’s more gold than they’ve seen, yet.

In real money terms, that’s $5-10, which is the most I’d consider reasonable. At $20? No way…

I think 10$ is reasonable, but the token should allow you to tweak your character for something like 48 hours. I don’t know how difficult that is to program in, but it’s really only once I am moving around in the world in light and dark that I see what I’d really like to change about my character.

Yes, I would spend good money either in game coin or purchase gems just to be able to change the look of my characters because personally that is one of the most enjoyable aspects of any game for me.

I think one-shot character re-customization items would sell VERY well in the BLTC. I also think that you should roll out more “appearance” armor sets that can be used for weapon-appearance customizing.

+1 Again! I’m not as thrilled with my skin tone as I was on my sylvari before and would really like to change my glow color…. Take my money!

I’d like a makeover ticket too! I haven’t flubbed any characters yet, but I know something will start bugging me eventually.
