The cheap lvl 74 exo hammers ppl use for MF to get colossus went up from 1g70s to 6g.
Most other hammers too.

It cant be skinwise or sth like that, also the sigils are things like “…of Grawlslaying.”

Somebody got really desperate? I mean thank you for that much gold, but who would possibly do that? And why? All the hammers sold were worth several colossus.

My speculation is someone put in the field “30” exotics to purchase and they ended up buying the next 30, no matter the price. Could have ranged anywhere between 1.70 and 6.00

I thought so too, but it happened to plenty of hammers. Someone having a few hundred peanuts should be too smart for that, shouldnt he?

I think this type of thing happens when the stock of low priced yet slower moving items gets rapidly depleted and then when some casual goes to list a fresh drop they just list it at whatever the new lowest(now high) price is and since its a slow mover that drops infrequently, the price sticks. The only people buying crap stat exotics with “grawl slaying” sigils are precursor chasers and they tend to buy in bulk, sometimes the dumb ones don’t place buy orders. People who are actually lv74 use rares at best.

This post was 10 hours ago, before the release of the blog. Then again, there was advance interviews to certain sites and they could have speculated.

That being said, not sure why they would go for hammer.

Honestly, I feel that somebody knows something he should not know yet.

Huh. I had suspected the MF stat will be replaced by Boon duration bonuses – we have boon duration as a thing on givers gear, but nowhere else. Boon orientated guardians use hammers primarily, it seems like there’d be a big demand for them if this is true… is that speculation, or inside trading going on here?

HOWEVER, i can’t find any evidence of what the Op is saying looking over the trading post data, seems more like it was an isolated incident.

Take a look at lately Colossus price whoppings.

Something is going on, other precursors aren’t being affected in any shape or form like it.

Might be a new bug that gets u a colossus in 1/5 attempts on exotics. Would not be the first time…
