RIP City of Heroes
Those are listed as toy. We now have a listing that is different. Travel Item —-item changes how you move through the world-— If this was a toy, like the others, they would be listed as such. Why the new category?

That was my first thought too when I saw (and bought :P) the carpet. It is true, they are mounts.
Maybe they’ll move the Sonic Tool and the Broomstick to “Travel Items” in the future too.
Not sure where everyone is seeing “Travel Item”, in the Gem Store all three mounts are listed under Toys for me. If you mean the “Travel: Double-click to equip a bundle that can change how you move around the world.” line on the item in your inventory, all three mounts have that.
8/9 Professions, Asura Guardian main.
theres no point in putting it without speed buffs. then i might as well use a quaggon tonic.
if anet wants to put in mounts, then they should put in swiftness too.
it is not going to break the game.. just make it unusable in combat.
oh and i was contemplating to buy it until i saw not usable in wvw. well no buy then.

Well, looks like Anet doesnt want mounts in game, just toys.

Not just ANet, there’s a fairly vocal portion of the forums that don’t want them. I don’t really care either way, but I don’t think the game needs mounts.
