The difference in price between Rare vs Exotic mini pets makes me think they must be a good investment (via the mytic forge).. Has anybody tried yet if they are a good source of income? I’ve heard that the rate of forging rares into exotics is around 25 to 30%, with the cost disparity, that’s around 3 ‘safe’ tries before you start incurring loses (assuming you’ll get the cheapest which is the mini krait witch..

Rare to exotic is about 5%. Taking huge gamble risks are rarely a good investment.

It is incorrect. There is hardly sufficient data. Also, according to the wiki, the only way to obtain a exotic mini pet is through the mini pet collection in the gem store, which may or may not be correct.

I have extensive real experience with the MF and I can guarantee that the rate is approx 20%.

However when considering the MF you’ll have to take the cost of the mats, the chance of an upgrade and then the average price for an upgraded item.

Assuming 20s cost per item it comes out at 80s an attempt, 1 in 5 is an upgrade so the cost for an upgraded item is 4g.

I looked at mini pets a while back but I didn’t see any profit margin there.

The exotic mini pets have recently spiked in prices, while the rare pets cost roughly the same (around 5g each if you’ve got the patience to wait for buy orders).. I think the problem with this method though is that it’s pretty slow to wait for buyers and sellers..

Can someone do the math for the rares to exotic chance/reward for minis?

On a related question, have people been throwing x4 of the Exotic mini pet from the Orrian Jewelry Boxes into the Forge? If you’re already burning karma on the boxes, I’d think that there might be a bit of money potential with the mini pets.

You cannot dump them to forge – stands for all exo minipes. (Same thing with exo runes/sigils since you cannot gamble with them, only use in fixed recipies such as legendaries.)

not more to say to that, if you´re lucky, you can do everything what you want and you will earn money. if you are not, don´t try this.
gold→ exo 20-25% .. my own rate is about 16% with 1000try´s ( not minis)

even if you make an exotic mini pet… what if it is an ugly one? I suppose there may be collectors. If you make an unpopular exotic you are probably going to have to eat it or sell at a loss. In magic the gathering we call those crap rares, they have the rank but uncommon or common alternatives are better.
