Why? Because the Gem Store has almost zero weapon skins. These are the only few that you can outright buy without the gamble boxes. You introduce these and then get rid of them.

I have never played a game of this type that brought in so many things just to get rid of them.

Sure, they may come back down the road somewhere…but one can never assume anything not set in stone to be true.

Point I’m trying to make, stop taking away the items and/or content you introduce. I personally am getting tired of it. From comments I’ve read in other threads on this forum and many others, I am not alone in this view.

If you remove items from the Gem store, maybe you should think about putting them in game somewhere.

Yeah I’m of a similar view. I like certain “awards” being temporary, as they indicate that you were present for a certain event (Mad Memoires, meta-minis, meta-wings, even Halloween/Wintersday skins), but the gem store stuff isn’t the same. It isn’t something you achieved, or even got lucky with, its just something you bought while it happened to be on sale.

I get that “limited time only” might play a psychological factor in some purchases, but I think a well-stocked and good value gem store would also encourage people to buy gems. It would also make for happier customers who will play longer and invite more people to the game.

They need to re-order the set up of the gem store so that they can have a larger inventory presented in a less-cluttered manner (as in, not having weapon, armor, and town clothes skins all in the same “barrel”).

I agree, I just think as the gem store is set up right now they’re making it difficult to KEEP many things in the store and get them viewed and sold. It would HELP them sell things if it was better organised since it would have more options easily viewable to potential buyers.

I for one am looking forward to owning the most exclusive future weapon skins. Unlike Braham and Rox weapon skins, these ones actually look awesome, so a year from now they could be regarded more highly than legendaries (like the ghastly grinning shield skin currently is).

I just hope they never release limited edition armor, because I’m always finding different combinations of armor that I like, on multiple different characters, and it would suck to never be able to achieve a certain look because the armor’s gone. For me weapons don’t really define a look and are more of a bell+whistle, so I’m fine with them being temp.

Whoever is is in charge of the gem store has had way too many lectures in Prospect theory, it’s just annoying.

I agree that the weapons skins should stay. In fact, anything and everything that they put in the gem store should stay! Why does everything have to be temporary?

Am not opposed to the weapon skins staying permanently, but I’m sure that the Rox/Braham/Marjory/Kasmeer weapon skins will continue to make periodic reappearances during sales.

Decision time.

When Flame and Frost was on, I never paid much attention to the gem shop items that were released.

When the F&F dye packs were re-released during the summer, I was all over those. The Deep Glacial Sky I wanted for my guardian dropped in the first Frost dye pack I bought.
