Metabolic Primer Description
You can only ever have the effect of one particular food on you. It will simply extend the duration of the buff, nothing more nothing less.
“Whose Charr is this?”- “Ted’s.”
“Who’s Ted?”- “Ted’s dead, baby. Ted’s dead.”
You can only ever have the effect of one particular food on you. It will simply extend the duration of the buff, nothing more nothing less.
I understand how things usually worked, but as this is something people are spending GEMS on why would it be out of the realm of consideration that the primer added a new functionality.
I assumed that it did not, but I bet a few folks may have bought them thinking you could ADD more boosts as it says “any food”…
From my point of view it tells me what it changes and affects. Thus I assume that nothing else will be altered because that would be an additional selling feature that I would personally mention if that was the case.

It says “any” because it extends “any” food item. If it would stack foods, it would become game breaking, especially in WvW. Plus they would describe it in the product. you have 12 hours of food you eat, if you eat roasted lotus root 2 hours later, it will replace omnom bar and you’ll have effects of roasted lotus root for 10 remaining hours and so on.
Does it work in WvW?
Miranda Zero – Ele / Twitch Zero – Mes / Chargrin Soulboom – Engi
Aliera Zero – Guardian / Reaver Zero – Necro
Does this affect utility as well, like sharpening stones?

Why would you assume this? Things like revive orbs and armor repair can’t be used in WvW. Why would it be so strange for the BLTP to sell another item that could be beneficial to PVE, but not have WvW value?
Also, as it relates to stacking I think we have different definitions. I’m suggesting that from the description one could (erroneously) conclude that you could eat any foods and the bonuses will combine. As I showed an example of foods that have unique bonuses.
Stacking would suggest someone tries to eat multiple foods with the SAME bonus such as an Omnomberry Tart and Peach Tart to jack up their magic find %.
Again, I think we all know that the same mechanics apply and that eating a new food will remove the old food bonus and replace with the new food bonus. Just suggesting that the description could have been more clear to the customer…
