And how far? I was just doing some math. My least favorite past time. I’ve noticed these lodestones are on the way down and was wondering why. Then it hit me. CoF. During that I decided to see if there was any way for me to profit. Turns out there is by converting 2 cores into a lodestone. Going by the current prices:

2 cores = 6.2 silver each
pile of incandescent dust = 14.2 silver
Elonian Rice Win = 25.6 silver

Throw in your crystal and you have a lodestone for 52.2 silver. The Tp list for Molten lodestones right now is around 63.3, so 10 silver profit a piece and around 6 after “tax”. But thats if you buy them right off the TP. If your farming CoF and hit up Orr for the piles occasionally, your pretty much covering over half the cost of making them.

I suspect the price is going to go well down. But how far? :p

So if people are actually making these cores with 14,5 silver dust and 26 silver wine they are making a 2 silver profit per lodestone at the expensive of 0,6 skillpoints…wow that’s terrible.

How much more are they going to drop? Well i think people must be pretty dumb to try and craft these stones with their skillpoints already. So i dont expect to see the molten lodestone dive any further at all unless the molten core prices falls further.

And your comment about farming all the ingredients yourself; people can farm faster in other places and just buy these underpriced lodestones from the tradepost themselves if they need em or ignore them all together.

You get alot of SPs playin CoF. Where can you farm more gold than a 6 minute CoF run?

If you’re doing instant buys and selling them for min-sell, yes you’re only making 1.4s right now after tax (according to my live sheet). However, if you already have the cores (because you farmed them) you save 15% on the sale of the cores and dust in tax you don’t have to pay so that’s another 4.24s in profit (total of 5.64s). If you’re using them for yourself, and therefore not worried about the tax, you’re saving 11.15s per lodestone.
