More trade post limitations?
There were technical issues that cropped up with historical records of 30 days, which caused downtime while they fixed it, which I’m sure you aware happened the last week or two. I dont know for certain, but it could have been as simple as a flush of the TP history database.
Also, the sluggish behavior can be an issue on your end, as I’ve noticed nothing of the sort, and I regularly use the TP in the course of playing.
They announced that they would cut the history from infinite to 60 days as part of the pre-2014 Feature Patch news. They did that, but it didn’t resolve the performance issues for those subtabs. When the TP was closed for emergency maintenance about a week ago, they must have decided to lop off another 7.5 of those 8.5 weeks.
Since then, my performance has been a lot better in terms of reviewing the now-limited history. It’s been about the same in terms of bringing up the menu and looking at the buy/sell tabs: sometimes it’s as fast as I expect, sometimes it’s clunky.
Thanks for the info about the sold tab purge. News to me.
As for the general performance issues, I doubt it is on my side. I run GW2 on 3 different rigs from 3 different locations. The only common denominator is Comcast as the ISP, 1 connection being Comcast Home and 2 being Comcast Business. Other evidence that suggests it’s not on my end include fellow guild mates from other parts of the country who also share performance issues.
I wish AN would pump up the juice on it’s TP hardware. The game appears to be profitable. Not only could the hardware need some boosts, the GUI for the TP itself could also use a revamp.
Trade post is running like an absolute pig.
Please do what it takes to put it back to where it needs to be, ANet.
I know a problem I’ve only had for the past few weeks is when I go to sell an item from inventory, it sometimes keeps that items numbers for the next item I try to sell. Which is a little annoying when I list things for 2s over the lowest seller.

Yes, I’ve had this issue a few times myself recently.
If I use the right click menu in my inventory on Item A to “sell on trading post”, all items I sell during that transaction will attempt to use the “sell to highest buyer” and/or “match lowest seller” amount for Item A regardless of the item.

Good to know its not just me. Hadn’t heard anyone in my guild having the same issue.
