Musical Harp? Why not The Minstrel?
Just out of curiosity how would you suggest that this work?
A toggle between focus skills and instrument skills?
A Passive/Active system using armor/town clothes button?
BTW: love the harp. I’m considering purchasing one, if a few of my sales on the TP go through.
Have a right click option that puts a harp bundle in your hands. Couldn’t be simpler.
And i want my Juggernaut to give me extra Watchwork sprockets while I am mining ore nodes with it.
Wont happen either.
Bloin – Running around, tagging Keeps, getting whack on Scoobie Snacks.
I would think most people who have the legendary would much rather have the legendary itself get improved than have a secondary music function added.
Only certain people care about playing music in the game.
While I think that some legendary weapons still need upgrades (minstrel is one of them) I don’t see why you would expect to be able to play it like an instrument. It’s a weapon skin.
You upgrade the minstrel to have vanity-related effects to it, then they’re going to have to do the same with all legendaries.

And among them are people who thought it would be cool to have an beautiful instrument as a weapon skin, even though it meant not having some special effects like footfalls or unique attack effects.

Why would I expect it to be played like an instrument? Because that’s what it literally is.

All Legendaries are vanity-related items. And by no means are they all created equal.

No it’s a legendary focus weapon. Not an instrument. My bell skin doesn’t play bell notes. And all other instruments in the game with the exception of the bell are 800 gems.
On top of this one could argue that the horn is a horn like howler, and it doesn’t play horn notes.
I could be wrong but it seems like you feel like you were cheated out of something and I don’t understand why you feel this way.

This would be a great opertunity to add some value to those items! The Minstrel may be a weapon, but it’s also a musical instrument. And with the playing mechanics already in the game, adding the functionality would be as simple as adding another option to the inventory menu.
But if it’s the gems…I’d gladly pay 800 gems to make my Minstrel playable.

When it comes to animations, the Minstrel barely has any. A lot of non-legendaries even outclass it. This is a great opertunity to add that ‘something special’ to the legendary and make it a true legendary.

i do not want to waste and additional bag slot for another harp when i have one i my hand the whole time.
let us play it.
anyway if u compare minstrell to others legendaries it sucks.
shortbow, greatsword, sword, pistol they all have much more interesting effects. each legendaries is uniqe in its way so why a harp could not be played?
EDIT: what about letting us put minstrell + new harp + 250 bloodstone shard + 250 dragonite ore in mystic forge to give minstrell the playable effect?

A mystic forge recipe would be great…and it would oncorporate the ‘pay xx gems’ suggestion at the same time.

Minstrel has a nice effect, looks great when paired it with bolt. Frostfang on the other hand doesn’t even have an aura. The footfalls don’t really matter, if you have a legendary main-hand.
Adding a functionality to one particular legendary is silly. Suddenly, you’ve just made what is a very cheap, very easy to get legendary the most valuable legendary in the game. It’s 800 gems, which isn’t much, and in all reality, one of the only items in the game actually -worth- that kind of money, and one bag space.
