I will spend 350g in to mystic forge for rare greatswords to get something expensive, Is it a good idea?

Um…better yet….think about items that hold value and those that might (such as commodities like metals and cloth)….for every 20 greatswords you will get 4 rares and maybe 1 exotic. So, take 80% of the gold you would spend and send it to me instead!

The only thing really worth it is a precursor. I assume you are going to buy the greatswords (or atleast not sell them).
With 350 gold you can get bout greatswords. To get a specific precursor you need on average 333 exotic weapons. Cause you are after money, you don’t care getting dusk or dawn, so you need on average 117 greatswords to get any precursordrop.
On average means you are actually betting odd or even (or as Buttercup said, Red or white). So basicly you are going to bet your money with a change less then 50% to miltiply it.

To have a decent attempt you need atleast double. Keep in mind that is never wise to gamble all your money, so best is to have 4 times the amount of money you are having right now.

I promise you, it will likely end in tears.

If you enjoy “gambling”, and aren’t terribly attached to your gold, then it’s a not that bad. However, I wouldn’t go into this expecting to be successful — that usually won’t end well. :-)
