Mystic weapons (make them yourself at the forge) are a good set if you want uniform theme from mixed weapons (e.g. sword/pistol). Buy the guts and craft them yourself to stay in budget. The Zenith weapons might be a good choice for you depending on your achievement-hunting skills. Partially it depend on your preferred colors.

Race and male/female on the clothes?

Your best tool is to go into the PvP lobby (crossed swords icon, then ‘enter the mists’ button). You can preview pretty much everything there. If its your first time there is a brief tutorial to blow through, but you only have to do that once per account. You can also use the trading post to preview dyes you don’t own yet.

This will give you all the recipes for mystic weapons (and pictures!). When you have the 4 types of items you need just take them to the forge and throw them in. Again, you can preview all of them from in the PvP lobby. Personally I think the mystic pistol is one of the nicer gun skins, and most of the weapons have fairly clean lines and mild FX (a little bit of blue lightning arcing in the gaps).

Do you want plant themed stuff? The verdant skins are pretty cheap and you can buy sylvari cultural weapons at the three vendors clustered together in the Pale tree. the lower tier cultural armor is pretty cheap and generally nice looking for Sylvari going the fully plant look.

Otherwise its a fair bit of running the Twilight Arbor dungeon for the tokens to buy the nightmare armor.

You can look at the cultural weapons. The Peacemaker ones have a purple mist coming off them and are 63k karma each.

Go to Rata Sum from LA. There are cultural vendors near the portal, heading toward the center of the cube. The Peacemaker weapons are tier 3. They are level 80 but rare so you will have to transmute to get exotics.

I love those weapons and have several sets. :-)

No. The cultural armor is restricted but not the weapons. I have Slyvari, Charr, Asura, Norn and a human using it,

not a huge fan of sylvari weapons… only because hte colors are hard to match

Got them for the stats not the looks. Just adding another example of cross race use of cultural weapons.
