REALLY ANET? More kittening limited stuff locked in those kitten RNG chests, removing of the 1st mini set (except for certain sales), hairstyles stuck behind gemstore item (not even a permanent unlock. I don’t really care for this one, so it doesn’t really anger me.)…
Also a potential pay to win (trait reset item). You didn’t want to allow us to reset them out in the field, but you’ll let us pay $ to do it? How greedy can they be…
What happened to listening to us?

What else do you want for free?
What else do you want for free?
Its not that I want them free (at least in the case of the minis), I don’t want to have to gamble for the kitten things.
Not sure what their reasoning is for removing the 1st mini set pack (its one kittening item on the store, whats the point in removing it?).
Hairstyles I could see as a pack you buy (unlocks perm for account, so new characters can use them, without having to buy the makeover kit after you create them).
Looks like Halloween will be more of the same kittening bullkitten stuff it was last year… All locked behind RNG chests with extremely low drop chances.

You can buy them in the TP. Those mini’s aren’t account bound. (I still don’t like it either, but there is another way to get it, you’ll just have to pay all your gold for it)
Not sure how trait reset is a pay to win feature. I won’t be buying one personally, I’d much rather be able to save different builds, and then this might be useful to me.
I don’t see the trait reset item as being any more P2W than the temporary Black Lion Trader/banker/merchant/repair items we already have, really. All it does is take the function of an NPC and put it in a one-time use item.
The ability to SAVE trait sets/builds and simply swap between them is something I would definitely like, though.
Thats why I said potentially. It is the very definition of the convenience items, which might not be pay to win, though some will see it that way. As someone on twitter said to dragonseason, if it was a permanent item you just have to pay the usual gold to reset the traits, then I might buy it. As a single use item, theres no way I’m buying it.

So in other words, pay a kitten ton of gold for a mini.
Also, why do patch notes say uncommon chance for the two minis, when the page I linked says rare chance? Which is it? (I know it’ll be rare, thats how Anet operates…)

Nevermind – it was changed long ago…still bleh.

Nothing, this guy thought you could use the training manuals to reset your traits, which you can’t, and you couldn’t.

you actually used to be able to

Ah ok. Thought maybe the price was increased. Thanks!
It costs like 4s to reset traits. Why would you ever pay the cost of a manual to reset. >.> Cheapest is 15s iirc.
also the mini’s are sub 15g each. I wouldn’t call that an unreasonable amount. Got both for 6g each early after patch.

I suppose you would buy a manual to take a trait reset with you into the field, so that you could save a trip to the NPC.
Anyway, I’m fairly certain they have been one-time-use at least since I’ve been playing (about five months). No very recent “stealth nerf” that I’m aware of.

^ That’s how this game works.
Anyway, the minis and new hairstyles are all “wants” and not “needs” as is most the ca$h $hop items. They want to appeal to the players that have disposable income and will shell out the money for unnecessary, virtual items.
And of course someone rich buys up all the exotic minis and prices inflate by 80-100g (as of this post)… a few of them completely sold out already too. <_<

Seriously? I had hoped my buy would be filled. Stupid rich players…
As usual, the 1%ers kitten it up for the rest of us.

Trait reset consumable is a blatant example of greed. I’ll keep going to a trainer to do trait resets TYVM, there’s not a chance in hell that I’m wasting 3-4 gold on something just so I can re-trait in the field…
The scarlet mini is pretty awesome and has an epic effect while moving and standing still
