No excuse anymore for not giving ‘hide mounts’-option
No thanks to unidentified weapons.

Some new stuff in the cash shop. What do you think?
Crafting license, not sure if it’s usefull, since i got most crafting spread over professions already. Not wanting to level most again since they are too expensive to do so.
Black lion chests: Mystery tonic price have gone crazy up. A speculator, smelled money i guess. My advice: DO NOT BUY them for 1000g. It’s a steal.
New boosts are ok but nothing exciting.

As someone who has all crafts at 500 on one toon, I am excited about the licence.
Surprising there is no video of the new finisher though.
I stand corrected. It’s pretty neat:

Nice for new players maybe, I’d only consider it if my account progress is taken over. Then it might saving me some logging back and forth.
I dont understand why there is only one. I want all 8 crafts not just 3

The fee for prof swapping is a gold sink. It removes some coin from the system. It also encourages players to create new toons, inciting them to buy character slots etc. An item that gives you all 8 slots is a bit much, and besides its for all characters not just one. So getting the item if you have 3 crafts maxed on 2 toons like I do, and a few on another saves you the swapping.

The patch note state that the droprate of Mystery Tonics (which are account bound anyways and craftable) got reduced.
My guess would be that Endless Mystery Tonic droprates are unchanged.
But in the end, you are right, who ever bought out all Endless Mystery Tonics, is in for a surprise and will lose alot of gold
Its not gold sink. I have 4 characters every with 2 500 crafts you dont buy character slots or even exp them so Its not gold sink (swapping for those few silver like twice in month is irelevant). Gold sing will be if they add another 6 craft slots and all those ppl spend thousands of gold on those slots and another thousands on leveling up those crafts again.
I see it as being useful if you have one character with Tailor, Leather Worker, and Armor Smith all together, or Weapon Craft, Hunting, and Enchantment. In each case, each set of three share some components and recipes. Having all three on one character means you only need one of each of those recipes.
About the new boosters, can we stack them if we pick different buffs? As we presently could with the individual boosters? At least it saves a whole row in our banks
I would have paid to have my crafting recipes and levels made account bound. I won’t pay for having 3 active crafts.
As usual, most of it is not worth it.

I won’t NOW (too many chars with crafting skills trained), but new players (especially future ones) are liable to.
Its not gold sink.
For you maybe. For others it is.
Honestly, I don’t know how somebody would level more than 2 crafting professions without also leveling alts to get more of the lower tier crafting materials.
BLT Chest has new icon and interface. When you click the open button it goes through it’s dice roll (no animation in the slots) for each item you get aside from the boosting powder and flashes the items into each slot.
I don’t quite like the + button hover text “Click to attempt to find Black Lion Chest Key for sale in the Black Lion Trading Company Gem Store.” It just makes it sound like you have an RNG chance at getting a deal on keys (may or may not work that way, didn’t for me that one time).
…
So they actually made the Black Lion Chests into a slot machine… I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. XD
Well, it does make keys more rewarding! And it makes it much clearer about what you got with the key.
I’ve always wondered if champion bags actually increased the drop quantities of champions or if it (like the new bl chests) was more of a psychological trick to make champions feel more rewarding. Has someone done an analysis on drop rates from champions before an after the implementation of bags?

I’m not sure what you mean. Before the champion loot bags were introduced, the champions dropped regular loot, like any mob would. Which is why nobody bothered with them for the most part.
“Click to attempt to find Black Lion Chest Key for sale in the Black Lion Trading Company Gem Store.”
That’s strange phrasing there. Attempt to find? What else would it do if not send you off to buy a key, send you somewhere else in the gem store? Not do anything at all when you click on it? Who knows. Maybe it will take you to the keys but when you attempt to buy it refuses your credit card.
Gotta love ANet. The King of vaguely written instructions.

Be happy it’s a discreet “+” symbol and not a big flashing “buy me!”.
I think this makes a lot of sense and even though I’m not a fan of chests I do like the new icon and that slot machine interface. For people opening chests I’m sure this is great eye candy.
Very shiny.
Additional profession spaces per character? The first thing that came to my mind was, “new crafting professions coming soon.”
Fishing?

Fishing?
That would actually require creating some new content. If it actually did occur, it would probably be a profession only available through the gem store.
Well, new content is coming…

The game “ships” with 5 character slots and 8 crafting disciplines — anyone can end up covering the current set of crafts with just 4 toons, leaving room for two more crafts. The only reason to get the crafting license is there’s a really important (and probably cost-limiting) reason to have more than two crafts on the same character.
For myself, I can’t conceive of the circumstances in which I would need to do this — it’s already plenty convenient (for me) to swap characters. I just make sure any new recipes are learned by the same set of 4, so I don’t have to remember who knows what.
The only thing I can think of is that there are a substantial number of people who didn’t divvy up the crafting among their alts but did all or several on one of them, their main. I can’t see a market for this for any other person.
