It is cool to see new content for sale on the TP but I wish, Anet, you would bring back the watchwork mining pick and the frost wasp logging tool. You would put it on the TP for sale every so often but now I have not seen it on the TP for a long time. Please bring them back. I am sure others would like to see them for sale again as well as some of the other, older gathering tools too.

Frost wasp has still the bug that freezes you after the animation ends .. wonder if the new axe has the same problem.

If you pair these with the bone pick, it would make a complete set. Just like what they did with the Molten harvesting tools recently. I wonder if that’s what they’re going to do now, make complete sets out of all of the harvesting tools?

That’s what I’m thinking, though if they do I bet it will be the last set they work on.

Probably. It’s a bit of a shame really. I’d much rather have full matching sets. Instead I have all these mismatched tools. I simply can’t justify to spend that kind of money to replace tool for looks and then never use the others ones. They aren’t cheap after all.

So far they’ve gone back and gave each specialized pick the remaining two tools to complete the “family” of items. We’ve gone molten and bone/undead. Watchwork will likely be next but I don’t expect the other two will get any benefits.

I really don’t understand why we get so much of the same ‘new’ items. Those gathering tools do all the same (with the exception of the watchwork mining pick) so we really need only 1 of a kind… Still waiting for watchwork logging tool lol!

Thematic. Why do we have more than one kind of ax or sword skin? They all do the same thing …

I went and got the molten ax and scythe for a charr of mine, to go with the molten pick. I handed his old ax and scythe off to another character.

They keep making them because whales keep buying them.
