I bought 4k gems on December 3rd I believe and no reward. Afterwards I bought the 2 new winterdays head pieces on December 5th and again no green backpack. Anyone have the same issue? Bug? or do we receive the rewards on a later day?

In early January, you will receive your gift based on gems you purchase and gem codes you redeem between 12:01 AM December 1 and 11:59 PM December 31 PST.

This looks like the first step toward a loyalty program for the gemstore.

Rift has an excellent loyalty program, which gives you rewards for spending money in the shop beyond just the items you buy. Some of those rewards are truly outstanding. They’re generally fluff, but they’re fantastic fluff.

This is something GW2 should copy. I know people who have spent thousands in the Rift shop primarily to get the housing items deep into the loyalty program.

I seem to recall that GW2 has given away stuff based on buying gems before. I think this is the first time they announced it beforehand though. Not sure about that part….

I got 2 mails in my gw2 career with something extra just because i bought gems at that period.
This is just the first time they announce giving a special reward.

Anet stated in their announcement of this “deal” that all the rewards will be given out at the beginning of January.
