We get plenty of Essences of Luck from salvaging, thanks. I expect to receive items from Black Lion Chests that are valuable or that cannot likely be acquired in the game otherwise, and Essences of Luck fit neither of these criteria.

I honestly second this.

There’s nothing exciting about getting an essence of luck from a BL chest. I get more luck from daily salvages than chests.

It was my impression that the contents from black lion chests were to be a mix of gem store items.

Essences of Luck should not be one of the items from a chest.

Voicing my support for this. We should be getting exciting things from black lion chests, not things we get for using an 88c salvage kit.

I also hate getting mystery tonics ..if I could trade them,it’d be ok, but nooooo >.>

Oh lord, I forgot about the skill scrolls. I have about a stack and a half still sitting (I have this wild notion that ANet one day might have more profession/races and I put those aside for that. I know. Small hope). Please. No more skill scrolls either.

Definately agree with this…. essence of luck and scroll of knowledge is like a slap in the face.
oh, especially when you get both in the same chest…

Well, I like it now that I can change it to something else, like a gathering booster, or karma, or magic find.

I get one of those killstreak boosters now and say, “Hah! Watch me change it to something good.”

Would be better if it was just something good XD….. not here’s a booster..oh oh but roll again for the enchantment powders cause we know it sucks.

I used that booster to level one of my chars (together with exp/birthday booster). Trust me on ‘exploration exp’ mobs (mobs wich nobody kills), you get craploads of experience, expecially with new system. Tbh I like that booster more then armor/speed/rejuv booster.

I read they improved it, that you can refresh it and get it going again after the time runs out. Is that correct? I remember, if you didn’t kill something in that time period, it expired and that was it.

If so, it might be useful to me if they ever release new professions/races.

Have been totally disgusted by Black Lion Chest when i got essence of luck inside, indeed.
It is really unfair.

@ Astral yes it’s greatly improved and my experience with it, is only after they updated it. I stacked them in my bank before before i never had a good moment to ‘kill mobs non stop without downtime’ But in wvw (eotm and normal wvw) i used it, and the champs vets, with exploration bonus give tons of exp (2000-5000 exp, on lvl 80, at lvl 40 about half of that wich is still a lot). Also once you meet zerg, you easely get the 10 stack bonus (full double exp, compared to base). And that lasts for 10 min!

It used to be worse then EXP booster, but now imo it’s better.
