Hi all,
I thought I’d share the results of opeing a pile of Orrian Jewelry boxes in one go.
I started with 581k karma.
I also had +75% karma bonus for recycling the liquid karma drops immediately.

At the end I came away with 1075 bits of the vendor trash (5g37s50c)
53 obsidian shards
6 mini-pets
1 pile of putrid essence
1 each Charged, Corrupted, Crystal, and Glacial Lodestones.
2 each Destroyer and Onyx Lodestones.

Did they fix the bug where the WvW outmanned +30% Karma buff doesn’t stack with the +50% Karma buff?

And I wish I could do something with all the extra Account Bound minis you can get.

I have 3, they really need to make these tradeable or able to toss in mystic forge :P

Another lackluster gimmick in GW2.
I’m so tired. Just so tired of it. I feel like a Risen—so tired, but I would still kill Anet if they entered my aggro zone.

As I haven’t collected any personal data on this, the majority of my data on this particular Karma sink is compiled from the community, and I’m grateful for the people who help.

It had to be expected that you can’t really count on these when needing lodestones.
Twenty lodestones drops on one-hundred boxes opened would make them worthwhile.
Shards can be obtained through other ways than farming, but for lodestones there is no other way.

Burned 300k karma got 1 mini and 1 corrupted lodestone, not counting shards, karma bottles and vendor trash.

I think I changed my path of choice for obby shards :p

Karma is so incredibly easy to get… Might as well take the gamble and get lodestones instead.

I thought about it too. U end up spending 10 times the amount of karma. Think about it.

I dropped 900k karma in.
Result:
Some gold from vendor trash.
35 obsi shard,
1 mini pet.
1 destroyer lodestones.
The rest is karma item. I guess i am just unlucky. XD

People should stop throwing away their karma like this. The lodestones are not worth it – the shards are not worth it if you’re going for a legendary either.

Better to save your karma or go forge some greens

These boxes don’t seem to be worth the price. I will wait and see if they get adjusted later in the game, I am in no rush to throw away my Karma.

I’ve dumped about 500k into these boxes and still no priest for me… maybe I should wait to do the next 500k all at once, might get better results.

At least this way you can make afew gold/get those potions.

As mentioned, buying karma gear and then forging them. There was a bunch of research awhile back done on reddit that showed forging greens was the most efficient way of making money with karma.

That being said, you never know what they introduce later down in future patches, such as more gear sets at all the temples.

I wonder if forging greens would still be considered worth while now that rares drop from event chests in significant numbers…
