Was going to buy a set of 80 exotic. Was bidding 2g 20s or something, accidentally bid 20g. The item showed in “Items I’ve bought” list but didn’t even appear in the pickup tab and is nowhere to be seen. I couldn’t have picked it up since I did the order at LA bank, nowhere near TP and with no TP vendors nearby.

Did I just lose 20g for nothing?

I might be wrong, but i believe that if you bid an amount higher than the lowest selling price of that item, you will pay that amount (lowest selling price).

Like:
Item A lowest price is selling for 10g!
Item A highest bid is buying for 8g!
If you bid 20g, it buys the item for 10g!

About the item not showing up, wait a bit longer, as the TP was experiencing some abnormalities!

In that case where did most of my gold go :S I had 40g in inventory and later only had 20 left. I hope I didn’t buy a whole stack of same item.

That’s weird indeed. Did you check buying and bought tab?

On history click buying items (if you havent) and click remove. This should give you back your gold, although admittedly I’ve never over bid.. So I’m not sure what would happen exactly other than what others stated of just receiving the actual cost.

I’m guessing here and prob wrong but if you put 20g in then it will buy 20g worth of items. Or the excess amount will be available for pick up. Like i say prob wrong but you never know.

I believe the gold difference goes to the pick-up tab.
Probably has happened to everyone who have played with the TP. When they pay a price for a item and in exact same time, someone placed the same item but cheaper, you get the item and the difference goes to the pick-up tab. It should work in the same manner.

Looks like I pressed the “order” button multiple times because it didn’t seem to respond and had bid on more than one of same item, that’s where the gold went. Thankfully got it all back.

Very dangerous thing to do :P When in doubt, exit out hehe

IIRC if you overbid, bltc-tp takes your money first as amount that you bidded and then magically returns the extra money to your inventory.

Done it few times by accident.

Guilty of doing the same , especially when the BLTC is kitten slow.

I once bought an item worth 5 gold… For 50 gold >_<. I got my item but all my gold dissapeared into nothingness.
