PSA on the executioner outfit
The #3 imba spin to win 2H AXE is enough.
Number 3 is totally overpowered.
Well, the mad king dazelock and aoe fear are as broken. The mad prince has an x8 attack that also dazes, a fear trap and a protect with only 3sec downtime.
The witches #1 hits 3 times i think and is ranged, same as mad king and mad prince.
She has aoe for 5 secs with block and only 7 sec recharge, so 2 sec downtime.
The chef has a daze on his #1 and can attack while moving (!)
If you have problems with the executioner, just kite, should you play as witch or mad king/prince.
The Witch gets owned due to activation and recovery times.
Costume Brawl skills are all over the place as it is. Some are completely useless (go try to win a Costume Brawl as a Toy Golem. I dare you), some are broken as all hell. Far as I can tell there’s zero effort to balance any of it. Skills that outright don’t work seems par for the course.
Plush Griffon is the best. That is all.

I dunno, after facing a few Excecutioner costumes in costume brawl earlier (I was in Mummy form) I’d honestly call that one the most broken in the game, even in spite of all the non-functional skills. Who needs 5 different skills when you have 1 godlike skill (and really, the AoE fear is also great even if the follow-up fails).
That whirlwind attack is broken as hell. Most large AoE multi-hit skills you can still at least run out of (including the Mad King costume’s). This one just pulls you in and murders you, there’s no escape once you’re in, since its not like there are stun breaks in costume brawl or anything.
The one guy I was playing against was just using the whirlwind, then running away until cooldown, rinse and repeat. He was pretty much untouchable, since costume brawl ranged attacks are all manual-aimed and trying to chase him down and melee him is going to leave you a sitting duck for the whirlwind once its ready.
Not to say the Mad King costume isn’t broken too (as are most of the gem store costumes, at least compared to tonics and such).

Isn’t the Mad King’s shout AOE as well? So with a large Costume fight, that scores multiple hits… right?

The axe spin downs you from full. And yeah, we have large scale battles on Sea of Sorrows.

It is. Plus you can move while activating it, while the Executioner’s skill roots you to the ground. You’re basically vulnerable immediately after using the axe spin, which smart CB players will use by dodging back out of range when they know your cooldown is open (or just using block skills), then charging back in to pummel you before you can escape.
The Mad King can just spam his Joke, then AoE Fear everybody away afterwards while Joke cools down (dodge a few times if you have to), then repeat. It’s still the king of Costume Brawl.
