Pact Fleet set not complete....
Unfortunately a lot of the BLTC weapon sets lack underwater weapons. In fact, off the top of my head, the only ones that actually had them were the Dreamthistle, Aetherized, and Tormented sets. Might be forgetting one or two, but its definitely the case that BLTC sets without underwater weapons is the norm.
Its pretty disappointing, but a lot of players don’t really care for underwater combat, and Anet themselves seem to neglect it a lot. So its not entirely surprising they don’t have underwater weapons most of the time, even if it is a bit of a bummer.
Water combat has been mostly removed from the game. Water was removed from WvW about a year ago, from PvP about 9 months ago, and from weapon sets about a year ago.
Removal of water from PvE began in the last feature patch with the removal of water in all starting areas. I suspect the LS will remove the rest of the water within another year.
Just from a purely story perspective, the Pact is now stationed in the Silverwastes and using the new weapons there. There are no bodies of water in that area, so there is no need for them to requisition underwater weapons.
That being said, I’d like more BL sets to include underwater weapons too. I love my Tormented spear.
It is sad becuase when u have a nice look on things u usually want the whole set (at least I do…) and that includes the underwater weapons. Its not that I only use these weapons when I’m in SW but also in Fractals (water) and all other regions (also water). I hvae it for the aether set… Wich is one set where I also wanted a coplete look.
Plz make that set complete! Its not like the water that is already on the map of tyria will vapourise!

I am happy there are no underwater weapons for this sets. Otherwise I would need to buy 3 more weapons I would never use for the achievement.
I find it sad that weapon sets do not include underwater weapons.
I find it sad that they are slashing underwater all together. it’s such a great mechanic. it was only missing popularity, and it’s annoying that Anet would diminish a great mechanic just because players couldn’t handle it. It was so close to being fun, but they went the hard way and decided to remove it. That’s like forum posts of “I can’t do jumping puzzles, I hate them” resulting in them changing the entire landscape by removing all jumping puzzles instead of adding a few more obvious/easier ones.

Add me to the list of people who loves underwater combat/exploration. I also hope that underwater combat gets a revamp some day.

Don’t hold your breath.
(Wait for it.)

That’s a serious overreaction to “moved an underwater heart (a really tedious one, at that) so it takes place on land”.

Alright… where did they move the water to? Or did they remove it just like I said?
I did a heart UW not long ago… was it a weak or so in Diessa….. It can still be done in the water (AND on land).
the NPE removed underwater map completion things and events from level 1-5ish areas. metrica province and queensdale were the most noticeable (water near the starting locations). the others just don’t have water at those levels. there is still underwater stuff in the rest of those areas.

The water’s still there, there’s just not any map completion-related stuff in the lowest-level parts (and honestly I think that one heart in Metrica was the only thing there before).
