So I was browsing just for the giggles, and I stumbled upon this.
Guess there’s still one left out there. Can we maybe (please?) get a confirmation whether this is a flip or not? :O
> means greater than, so no need for the extra than.
Also, I want one of those.

I am hoping there is one of these again this year… I may be tempted into rng for it
I won’t pay 3000 gold for a permanent hair license.
But I’ll pay more for a hair license than eternity.
Why would I want a sword which have such large particle effect you can’t even see anything.
I would rather have a hair license to change my appearance. if that really is the last hair license out there. I think it’s worth more than eternity.

I think you’re misreading — the lowest offer to sell a perm hairstyle contract is above the highest offer to buy eternity — but below the lowest offer to sell eternity. Looking at the history, the last sell offer was 2200g … the buy offer is 1800g, and has been 1600-1800g for a while. The 2200g sell offer some weeks ago might have been flipped — but that doesn’t seem like a lot of profit for a fair bit of risk. (15% of 3300 → 485g -- so at most 615g profit — and the whole amount is tied up, with some risk that the item will be re-introduced.)
Eternity is more expensive than the perm hairstyle contract — but not much more expensive.
I made over 1500g from flipping high value items. I wouldn’t put it past someone to flip a hair license. I was thinking of doing it myself, but its too risky imo, not spending 80% of my current gold to buy a hair item that may/may not sell. Someone with more gold than me probably flipped it though. 600g is a very very good margin of profit.
The contract is probably rarer than eternity, and it’s certainly more useful.
well:
3300×14(gems per gold)=46200 gems
46200/1000=46.2
46.2×5=231
if you plan on using the hair styling kit more than 231 times in your GW2 life time then it’s worth it, I’m not sure if the styleing kit becomes Soulbound or stay account bound after use though. If it remains account bound, I would say it’s totally worth it in the long run.
It remains account bound. And I don’t know why anyone would want a big ol sword with unlimited potential quantity over one of the rarest items in game which provides almost 20g worth of value per use (and growing).
I wouldn’t be surprised if this one is off the tp within days. There are some people who profited 100x off of celestial recipes and generosity sigils with nothing else to buy.

Waste of money, good chance it will be back this Christmas, my girlfriend actually got one while getting her Christmas mini’s but we wasn’t aware it was a chrismtas only addition and sold it for like 400g =/
Or maybe ANET will made it a perm addition to the BLC like the other 3.
Or it’ll be like halloween skins and they won’t come back, and the remaining supply will be bought out. Although to be fair, I see less room for price growth as there aren’t too many people with that kind of money, and even less sellers who own the item with enough gold to cover the selling fee. In that case there might as well not be any left, and the price might as well be infinite since you’ll never be able to buy another one. In summary, it’s bad to buy to sell for profit, but good to buy to use at this point.
The contract is probably rarer than eternity, and it’s certainly more useful.
Except being able to change the stats of an ascended-stat greatsword on the fly is actually better than being able to change your hairstyle..
If you are the type that want to change stat on the fly. You probably want to change your sigil too. That’s why legendary isn’t even that useful.
Just carry a bunch of weapon. Much cheaper and more useful.
… Good point, laokoko. I wasn’t intending on getting a Legendary anyway (since none of the current Legendaries suit my aesthetic goals), but since you’re likely to use different weapons for different builds, being unable to freely switch the Sigil means that a Legendary isn’t as great as it’s made up to be from a stats perspective.
I would rather have a hair license to change my appearance. if that really is the last hair license out there. I think it’s worth more than eternity.
you get it from BL chests
