I have both the permanent black lion merchant and trading post contract, which in their description say: Double click to summon personal black lion merchant/delivery agent, for 5 mintues, allowing you to pick up trading post purchases and profits/ allowing you to access basic supplies and sell loot.

Two issues with these items.

1. They tell you you can double click to account bind them, which is fair warning, but do not give you confirmation to bind them to your account, so be careful. I did this with full intention to bind them, but considering how expensive and rare they are they should really ask for confirmation.

2. This is the worst part about the items, which makes me incredibly frustrated. You can’t have both NPCs out at the same time. If I have the trading post merchant, I cannot use the black lion merchant and vice versa until one despawns. Given that the items are strictly for convenience purposes, this is seriously dissapointing. Both items cost over 400 gold each, and are meant to be convenient, but having to wait five minutes to use the other is absurd. Either they should despawn the other on spawning new one, which would be a good design as they would not clog up maps as server using is an issue apparantly. That, or they should open a window that allows you to pick up/ sell and buy basic supplies like the banker contract does. Either of these makes a good alternative if having both out is an issue for server performance.

If these changes are not made however, do not under any circumstances buy both items, as they aren’t really convenient if one restricts the other.

That needs some fixing. Probably they don’t expect someone having both at the same price fue to its rarity, maybe?

Whole point of buying the whole set is to never need the towns for anything, but at this point walking to the TP or whatnot from any city is much faster than waiting for one to expire. Not cool.

I bought the permanent black lion merchant contract because I wanted to retrieve black lion TP profits anywhere. I’m sure you can guess how disappointed I was when I opened it for the first time.
All I ask is that you take the words “black lion” out of that name and add it to the perma TP contract name where it belongs so future people aren’t as disappointed as me.:

I have the bank and TP one.

I was thinking of getting the merchant later on, however after reading this post, i probably will pass if i cant have both out at the same time.

The bank at least isnt a NPC, its a direct Bank Open.

On that note, i should see if the Golem counts as a NPC that u get for 7 days on new characters with the deluxe.

Another problem: If someone has a black lion merchant contract out, someone that isn’t you, you can’t place a trading post contract down.
