Guild Wars 2

This was obviously offered in the wintersday boxes last year; was simply wondering if we could get any info on whether or not this would be offered again this year. We seem to have strayed away from RNG boxes that aren’t BL chests, but I’d be really really disappointed if my only method for getting this is going to be “Spend >2500g”.

Not that it’s necessarily a bad thing; I’m simply curious as to whether or not we’ll be getting another go at them.

I would love it if they’d just put it in the store. I don’t buy keys to play RNG, because it’s RNG.

I would like to know too, been saving my gold since last decemeber hoping for one of them.

I’d use that kit once a day. It wouldn’t take long for me to make up the cost. Lol

once a day, 150x the cost…. five months (Assuming you don’t miss a single day)

I’m unsure of how it works but if it is account bound when used, I’d use it in several characters per day. Sorry, but i would love it. same with my infinite gathering tools. No, they won’t recoup my cost, but I love them.

To be honest, the price of goods in the Trading Post fluctuates. I’m fine with some things getting lowered from ungodly high prices. Something that is strictly a convenience like the Permanent Hairstyle Kit, I am fine with seeing become cheaper. I’d rather Legendaries remained the big price tags on the Trading Post (though I also want to see them become Account Bound).

Who cares about those who spent the 3.3k? They surely didn’t get 3.3k by playing normally. So they either farmed obsessively (contributing to inflation), played the TP (yeah, that makes me care about them…lol), bought gold, or got extremely lucky. None of which to me warrants sustaining such elevated prices.

No sympathy here for those who spent thousands on these… if they have thousands of gold to frivilously blow on something like that then they’re really not hurting for funds in the first place.

There weren’t any new hairstyles or colors exclusive to styling kits last year.

I’d use the kit multiple times a day to be perfectly honest; there isn’t an item in the game I want more.

I didn’t really play much till after christmas last year, and certainly wasn’t at a stage where 100g+ was a thing for me. I would even be happy if they came down to 3-400 now, but in general I think it would be pretty sucky if such a desirable item was left entirely exclusive to playing a single christmas. I’m cool with exclusives, just not with an item which should frankly be an integral part of the bloody game. (Ala hair dressers/barbers).

So according to the patch notes the contracts arent back…

Uh, you can sell those? For lots of gold? I got one in a BLC but didn’t know I could sell it. It’s sitting in my bank.
