Whenever I want to sell some mats on the I will constantly get hit with “Error Attempting to Sell”. I’ve read in older threads that this feature was implemented to prevent botting which imo is a terrible countermeasure. If thats true it would only slow down bots which would just trying again while at the same punishing legitimate players just trying to play the game. I can never sell more than 1-2 stacks of any item before “Error Attempting to Sell” forcing me to constantly close and reopen the TP. Its been like this since I started playing 6 months ago and it seriously needs to change.

It kicks in after selling a certain number of items in a particular time span (something like 10 items in a couple minutes). I get enough items to cause it from just casually running around, and manually entering each price doesn’t slow the process down enough to avoid the limit.

it’s closer to 7 items per 30 seconds, but not that simple.

Once the “error” happens, you have to wait about 5 seconds before selling or listing the next item.

Or close the TP and open it again. That usually works for me.

If it’s meant to hinder bots, it’s stupid. Bots are more patient than humans, so it will not work.

If it’s meant to slow players down to prevent the trading post from overloading, then the error message should be changed to say that.
