I want to make some transformation tonics but at these prices are unaffordable just to have some social fun. Can we have a dust fix, they are used all over the game for most of the end game recipes. Having it dropping less than any t6 mat is really hard to manage.

The prices went way up because Anet has nerfed the only good farm spot for cystalline dust to ZERO drops. They could have reduced the % of good drops but nope, they had to make it so that wraiths do no longer drop anything at all.

Result: prices of crystalline dust went up 15 silver (roughly 40-50% more).
This makes going for the Bifrost so much more annoying… (as it requires 750 crystalline dust – now over 250 gold)

Hahaha. I’ve been out of the game for a few months and I just noticed this.

This is completely broken. The dust used to drop plenty during Orr event farms, did they change that too?

Bit sad I sold over 500 (as well as making two legendaries) for 5 – 7s ea.

the price of T6 dust is ridiculous and still climbing. I wanted bifrost, but 750 dust is making it prohibitive. Anet needs to fix!

Because it is the most useful T6 mat should drop more than othe T6 mats, not less. If at least it was farmable but it isn’t as of now. I don’t know what they were thinking. It’s like if they removed carparks from a zone of the city without building new carparks to compensate.

You can still farm T5 ….250 T5 1 T6 = 10-40 T6. English Wiki is wrong with 6-40.

If I would sit on T6 dust I would sell it now. The current situation is really a little ridiculous maybe they even the “drops” out a little.

claw,scale and bone t6 items are really low in supply aswell, only a few 1k …blood seems overrated (eventough its the berserk material…)

If a T6 main crafting item stays under 1k supply in the longterm!!!, then theres something wrong!!

Give players a way to farm them better, we dont want free loots.

In Beta when I noticed a Mob would never drop anything (or would only drop trophy crap), I used to Bug-Report it… I’d really really be surprised if any plentiful generic high level mob NOT having a Drop-Table is ever intended behavior.

But while we’re on the topic of low supply: Why are Herb spawns still the least common Node in the game??? Has anyone seen the price of Chilis lately? Lulz, I’m funding my charr Alt almost 100% on them. No green gear, I’m all Rares on a lowby, haha. Bling Bling, muchacho

The prices of dusk went way up because Anet thought it best to discourage and nerf farming in Orr and promote farming in south sun. No undead in south sun so dust will continue to go up.

Have no idea where Anets logic on that is.

Players would farm the mobs rather than complete the event, that’s why it was nerfed across the board and the mobs no longer drop anything. No more interesting drop = no more farming the mob = players do the event rather than farm the mobs. But as usual, the effects of the decision were not completely thought through.

The issue in a high price of dust is that makes unconvenient do a lot of stuff.

-lvl 400 consumables like potions, sharpening stones, crystals and oil are just out of wack in price atm
-most of the lodestones in the market are made trough a 2 core conversion. as dust price rise, all the lodestone price (and the will of players to convert cores instead of farm to buy lodestones) will suffer
-all the T5 conversions are now very unconvenient. ppl sit on stacks of T5 mat w/o even think to upgrade, cause due to price of the 5 dust needed the chance of profit/being on par with investiment are very slim.

Dust is the most useful mat, so it’s normal for it being a little costly, but atm it’s simply out of scale, and this hurts too many areas of the crafting/high end mats market.
A fix is needed badly.
Price should be at very least half of the current one (40s or so), like an ecto.

Proposed fix: add T6 dust as drop from rares (and exotics) salvage, in the same spot of ectos (so you can drop 3 dust or 3 ecto, or 2 dust 1 ecto or 2 ecto 1 dust, and so on – given you’re getting 3 drops out of salvage).
This will increase supply of dust (enough to balance again prices) and decrease slightly the supply of ectos (which are a little underpriced imo).
Both ecto and dust should sit on the 20-25 s mark imo.

Dust should not sit at 20-25s, maybe around 5-10s, considering the fact that you need dust to promote everything to t6.

No, dust shouldn’t be THIS expensive. It’s required for so much, so it should have a better drop rate. I understand them fixing the broken event in Orr, but I think the drop rate of T6 mats needs to be adjusted accordingly.

Check the data yourselves. Acording to gw2spidey in the past 2 weeks supply has nosedived and costs have gone into orbit. Not fun for me personaly needing 750 for bifrost.

Any event that does not have a timer or a mob-kill requirement will have infinite spawns. And there are over 1500 events in game – there are a lot of those type of events.

Well it was a bit crazy, way too easy to aggro 4-6 which is death if you can’t run away, especially if one’s a vet.
