Pre and post new TP.. things not selling?
I think a few people mentioned price is dropping. I have no idea if that theory is right or not. I have a hard time selling some items myself, which previously is really easy to sell.

demand is sinking
players leave the game → not enough buyers

Or everyone is doing Halloween content and aren’t buying their normal amount of items/mats.

But this was happening before the Halloween event started.
I think players leaving the game is some of it…
…but perhaps part of it is having the red “this is the minimum price” warning allows players to easily sell at the lowest possible price without having to worry about losing money (compared to selling at the merchant)?

Or people sell all their stuff like crazy to buy gems .. that would at least also explain
why the gem price went that high on the 22st.
For a short time i noticed that it was even intersteing to buy platinum directly from
the TP to craft darksteel and sell that, because platinum price went down much faster.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
Depends on what exactly you’re selling, I guess. For the goods that I place buy orders for every day, competition for them is still pretty fierce.
I saw a dip in velocity the first couple days after the TP changes went live, but it felt like it recovered pretty quickly.
What segments are you seeing a pronounced loss of velocity in?

I’m specifically talking about level 80 blues and greens of all kinds except for cloth items (from WvW kills).
What I’m seeing is:
- If the lowest sell price gets you more than vendor value (after TP fees).
- If there are buy orders.
Then before the new TP, items would almost always sell. Now, these items almost never sell.
Hmmm. That is interesting. The greens that make sense to forge are still selling just fine, but the overpriced ones – blues and greens that are worth more at the merchant than to salvage – are sitting.
For example these are worth forging and you couldn’t tell me from the graphs where the TP change hit:

Spot the velocity drop there; I don’t see it. Greens and blues with real value above vendor value barely saw a blip.
These are basically junk (outside of some weird leveling corner case thing) but used to sell:

That they aren’t selling doesn’t surprise me. What does surprise me is that they used to sell. Why did they used to sell and what were people using them for that they aren’t now?
So did players become savvier? At least those putting in bids. Did the 17.6% change in minimal price Vs +1c broke the market? Did the shift to profession weighted drops flood some markets?
I personally salvage blues and greens for luck and mats. Haven’t sold any since EoL became a thing.
