Yeah i agree, sometimes i decide not to buy since the icons on weapons can be misleading or I don’t know how a dye will look like on my armor. I think the Trading Post is missing this little but fundamental option and I’m sure most people would like to have this implemented if possible.

This is the first MMORPG I think that I actually make a conscious effort as to what I look like and how to I can look even better with different armor skins. When buying exotics on the TP when I hit 80, I want to make sure that I will also look epic. And dungeon sets may look kitten, but they cost SO many tokens.

Yes! Please implement this asap. Its needed!

Support for this would be very helpfull when looking for good items to transmutate

This would be fantastic. I actually thought it was a bug that I couldn’t bring up a preview option when I was initially viewing the trading post. Part of the fun of buying new items is mixing and matching armor sets for transmutation.

preview #1 feature that need to added

This is pretty much essential, there is not much point in buying any high-end gear when you can’t really see what it is! Maybe some cheap exotics for transmuting to a skin you already found, but that’s about it. Can’t be hard to put in a left click option for those items surely when they already have it in chat.

I’d like that to be implemented too.

I swear this was in early on when the trading post was still iffy. Does anyone else have any memory of that?

That would be nice. Also if they brought back the filter to show only usable items so I don’t have to scroll through a ton of different armor I can’t use that would be great.

considering the fact that the end game gear progression grind typical of other MMos has been replaced with gear skins and looking cool in GW2 the idea of not being able to see what you are buying is kinda silly.

Not to mention, we also need the hover feature so we get to see the stats of the item just be hovering over it. Probably add to that, comparison as well. With TP loading slow and usually not loading at all, clicking each item just to see more details is time consuming.

Glad so many people also have had the same thoughts on this. And yes I would like a Light, Medium, and Heavy Armor filter option.

This would be great, but is not a simple change. It would require significant work and Arena Net has more pressing and easier to implement stuff to worry about first.

I can see why this is hard, cuz the trading post is not actually part of the game servers, but a separate system. So passin that info is a lil tough.

Note there IS a pretty big set of models you can view in the pvp lockers in the mists.

+1 I love to transmute things so I can look pretty as well as having a nice weapon/armor.

I would probably buy more gems so I can buy more fine transmutation stones.

So yeah. Tap ‘O’ click ‘Style’ – there’s your preview. DONE.

Now, instead of clicking an item to see stats, reuse this page. And put a ‘Buy Now’ button there.

Need this, badly.

The big issue is that the TP is currently being run via the Awesomeprocess browser. This could be solved however by not passing the entire item from the browser to the game but simply exchanging of the item id. This was quietly implemented in other mmos to allow for item call commands.

With all these signings, it would be nice to have a simple confirmation of being heard. No promises needed (yet) but just a simple “We’ll look into it”

I distinctly remember that this was available in beta. I’m 99.99% sure that it was because it was beta, and because it didn’t matter, I was only buying the good looking gear

Come’on Anet give us some word on this, its frustrating wanting to buy highend items but not being able to because we have no idea what they look like, especially named items….

Need this for sure. I know there are other, more important issues being dealt with. But this is a much desired feature

Agreed, this is a much needed feature. Right now when you buy something it is complete gamble as to what you are going to get, which is especially frustrating when you are getting something expensive.

I dont even know why this wasnt implemented at release. Its such an obvious thing thats lacking.

This feature is a MUST. It sucks buying an item that has a cool thumbnail, only to have it look bland and ordinary on my character.

Would also like to see this, I mean you can already right click on any linked armor to preview it, just need the same action off TP

Or even just allow us to link the item from the TP into a chat field.. where we can preview
