Anyone else notice that the prices for every single rare, etc mat has gone down dramatically over a couple weeks. I did not account for Anet`s pathetic stance on bottling as every single crafting mat went down 2-5x times in price in as little as couple weeks. Sharp claws for example went from 85-90c to 20c Heavy Bones from 65c to 13c and the prices are steadily dropping as botters keep undercutting each other listing thousands of mats. I wasted 80+g buying 750 of each rare mat 1-2 weeks ago and the prices keeps dropping. Ive stopped playing already about a week ago as this is very frustrating.

Supply was going to rise naturally, even without contribution from bots, as more and more players reached the lvl 80 areas where the rare materials drop. If you spent 80g 2 weeks ago on those materials, and expected that the supply wasnt going to change then ofcourse it would be a nasty wakeup call for you.

I do feel discouraged whenever I see those large bot groups, but I report them and hope they get dismantled sooner rather than later, however I dont expect the crafting mats will ever be in short supply while the game has a healthy high lvl population, and neither should you.

I’m playing less and less, but that has more to do with the state of Orr than the trading mechanics in my case.

My only goal in this game was to get commander title so I was trading on ah to make 100g. I made 80+ and noticed that prices on rare mats rise at the beginning of the weekend. So I bought 750 of almost each rare mat after long hours of putting everything into my spreadsheet and using gw2 spidy and bam that weekend prices went down like crazy and kept dropping as people listed thousands of rare mats. I logged in today and saw what used to sell for 85c couple weeks ago now at 14c and simply uninstalled the game.

First I will say that bots, though an obvious problem, I rarely see very many of them compared to players actually playing. There are times, though, that my friends have reported bots that they still see in the same area farming today. I am not sure how ANet actually responds to bot reports, but sometimes they don’t at all. I seriously think ANet needs to be a little more open about the state of their game, instead of ignoring half the forums here.

That said, I am sure the bots are not the problem here. People have leveled up. You blame the game because you read the market wrong? You are the one who made the mistakes, not GW. You should have known that people were starting to get into the higher level areas, so you shouldn’t have boughten so much.
