Question about how sales work.
Reddit tells me it’s last in first out. This system is backwards. Why would it be this way?
Here’s a secret:
The smallest batch is sold first. This is to keep the database cleaner. Your stack of 250 is never going to sell.
I’m guessing its FIFO: First in First out? If not it would be strange?

It’s strange, but it’s definitely not FIFO.
First priority is by order size, but for orders of a particular size it might be fifo, I guess? Anyone know which of two equal-sized orders will sell first?
Hey, Arenanet. Why do you put the 250 stacks at the end? Want to explain your TP?
So what, pray tell, is “very soon”, if this still isn’t fixed after 17 days?
In another MMO I was in, “very soon” meant within several months.
I suspect the small orders before large is intended, though, so that the casual player who drops off a few of an item gets processed before the marketer who buys or sells large stacks. They designed the game and diminishing returns so that you didn’t earn a lot of gold, or need it, and I doubt they want a marketer to be able to make money vastly faster then someone running around playing it as intended.
Anet teaching the meaning of Soon™ to unindoctrinated gamers the world over.
Soon is a variable that we need cleared up. ANet may as well have said, “It will be fixed in x days/weeks/months.”
Edit: If it’s money you’re after, FYI I’m not paying for gems until you guys fix the trading post.
It seems to have been fixed already, actually. See here and/or test it for yourself.
