The crafting component swings are great for trading. Buy low sell high. You have to watch the trend line though, because you can get burned.
I assume prices will change also, simply because more people play in the evening than any other time of the day. I would guess that starting around 9-11pm PST, when the majority of the American player base starts off loading all of their loot from the evening before logging off, there is going to be an increase in supplies (loot off-loading) and a decrease in demand (as the number of players online drops), which will bring down prices.
Then during the day TP profiteers recognize arbitrage opportunities and start swinging prices back and forth by buying and selling until prices stabilize again for a bit in the evening when the number of players is high.
